Hair Straightener?

I'm going to get a new hair straightener. Any brand name suggestions??Hair Straightener?
It all depends on the amount of money you are willing to spend. Of the top ten best-selling hair straighteners, there are products by Solia, Sedu, HAI, Bion, Chi, and Hot Tools. But there are also straighteners by many other makers that may work just as well for you, and be less costly. Again, referring to the top ten best-selling straighteners, the prices range from around US $25.00 to over US $200.00, so price may certainly be a factor in what an individual would consider the best.

There are other factors that you have to consider in choosing a hair straightener. One of the first is the length of your hair. The longer your hair is, the larger the plates of your straightener need to be. Your straightener should be just wide enough to allow you to quickly heat the length of hair you have. For shorter lengths of hair, you want a narrower straightener. This allows you to have more control over the hair as you straighten it. (The size of your straightener will effect the cost.)

Another factor is the condition of your hair. Because these appliances use high heat, they can damage the hair, especially if the hair is already damaged or in poor condition. In this situation, you may want to select one of the straighteners designed to help smooth the cuticle layer. These models do tend to be more expensive, but many people really rave over the results they give.

The bottom line isn鈥檛 so much what is the best straightener, but what is the best straightener for you. You鈥檙e going to need to make that determination for yourself based on your hair鈥檚 length and condition, and your budget.Hair Straightener?

I use Corioliss straightening iron, and would definetly recomend it.

Don`t know where you can buy it or how much it costs, but it`s worth it.

It has a digital controll so you can change the temperature. It gets warm and ready to use in a few seconds, and it gets cold fast when you are done. It`s easy to use, and my hair has never been straighter.

But as always, remember that it`s also important to use good products for your hair. You need straightening products that are good for your hair and that it`s okay to use with straightening irons.

Good Luck in finding something that works for you. :-)
HAI is what my stylist uses.
No brand name suggestions, but I think you should read this before buying one: http://www.hairfinder.com/hairquestions//a>
I bought one at Wal-Mart for like $15. I think the brand name was Alpha or something. It's black, and it's light and slim, really easy to hold onto and not drop. It's got a lower-case ';a'; on it for the brand monogram.

It's the best one I've ever had. It does a great job.
Sally's Beauty Supply has a generic Chi for about 60 bucks. It works just as good as the original. I have one!
I think just about any ';wet to dry'; hair straightener is good... I have one from Revlon and it works sooooooo well...... (and it only costs $30)
CHI or bust. It's more expensive but so worth it.
The Chi is the best if you are willing to pay $100 for it. but if you want the same quality, go to a beauty supply store and i bought the Generic Chi. It works GREAT i love it and it was only like $65. I have bought 3 in the past month from walmart and other stores... and they broke on me within 2 uses. So i would say go ahead and spend the money because in the long run it will be worth it. hope this helps a lil bit
no brand
Chi, it works the best (I own one), it's a bit pricey though. Also Revlon (my friend owns one). I wouldn't recommend Conair unless you're on a budget. Avoid plastic ones, they're really cheap.
I'm not sure of any brand names but I like high heat porcelain straighteners that turn off by themselves.

I have a infiniti by conair it was like 40 dollars
