I need a good hair straightener?

ok well i want a new hair straightener... i have thin hair....

so does anyone know any good hair straightener that i could buy in a store AND NOT ONLINE? and i want it to be somewhere under 40 dollars...

and one more question... why are the thinner hair straighteners are better then the bigger fatter ones?

thanks everyone =]]I need a good hair straightener?
Revlon ceramics, its wonderful and I have gone through TONS of straighteners. Its is 30.00 at Target. Its as thin as the CHI and it doesnt pull your hair our. Thinner ones are better because you can focus on just a little section rather that putting huge ones in, making the overall outcome much straghter and less frizzy.I need a good hair straightener?

look all the way to the right. ignore everything that's in the middle. just focus on the iron part
The ceramic hair straighteners by Helen of Troy are really good. they are available at Sally Beauty Supply.

And i don't think that size makes a difference in hair tools.
sorry cant get straightners for under 40 dollars only online
All i can really suggest is make sure you get a ceramic one. Those might be more expensive tho. I would try go to a hair salon and looking at what ones they have there. That's where i got mine and it's AWESOME! =o)
Go to Sally Beauty Supply. I know you said you aren't looking for something expensive, but you really want to get a ceramic straightener. They do less damage to your hair. Also, the littler hair straighteners are supposed to be better because you can get right to the root of your head, which you cant really do with a big straightener.I work in a hair salon and everyone there LOVES the smaller ones because you can really get RIGHT to the root. I personally use a big one, but I have thick hair. If i used a smaller one id be there forever! So if you have thin hair, i would probably get the smaller one. But if you want to get a good straightener, you will probably have to pay the price, because the professional ones, are the good ones :]
go to sally beauty supply and get Jilbere de Paris Ceramic Tools Porcelain Flat Iron 1-1/2'; its runs around $42 last time i was in. you can also get a protection plan for $6 which i would suggest if u use it everyday like i do. i buy a new one every year but now i dont have to with the protection plan. smaller irons keep the heat more consistent than the bigger ones and are much easier to get right up to the scalp.
i know they are more expensive than what u are looking for but it would be really worth saving up and getting some ghd straighteners they really are the best and because the plates are solid they wont damage your hair.I've had lots of cheaper ones and they usually break after about a year and the ceramic wares off quickly too so they start to singe your hair
you need a thin ceramic hair straightener look at the volts that way you will see just how hot it gets also get a round brush..you have to dry you hair first...section it with clips dry it with the roundbrush and then in sections again small ones use the straightener
