HAIR straightener!?!?!?

ohkay so i have a pink chi and it worked amazing!! my hair was perfectly straight but then one day it wouldnt turn on... and it wasnt my electrical plug cuz it didnt work when i plugged it into my other plug.. so idk what to do.HELP!!? is tehre aother starightener thats cheaper than the chi that has good effectsHAIR straightener!?!?!?
How long have you had your Chi? They come with a 1 year manufactuer warranty. have you been wrapping your cord around it when you store it away? that can cause it to short out.

Good alternatives are Fhi (co-creator of Chi made own company) Rusk, and Hot Tools :)HAIR straightener!?!?!?
If you've dropped or damaged your straightner that might be a reason as to why it wont work or if the cord on it is damaged. A type of straightner that I can reccomend is the Conair Nano Silver Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Straightner. You can feel it start to heat up as soon as you plug it in and it straightens hair with ease and leaves your hair straight (lasting all day), shiny, and smooth. I hope this helps!
i have a pink chi too!

my grandma is a hair stylist and she always recommends the chi. you can always buy a cheaper version but it will probably not compare to the chi. good luck!
i love the HerStyler.

it's amazing.

Hair straightener?

i'm looking for a high-quality hair straightener on the cheap... limit is $100, and brands/ ideas??? special features to look for if i'm trying to straighten curly hair??Hair straightener?
you can try the wet-to-dry straightener, which is about $60. That is what my cousin uses. When you get a straightener, try to find one with ceramic plates, or something similiar, Sometimes it is worth the money to get the high dollar ones if you have curly hair. I have very hard to handle hair, and the only straightener I found to really work was a Corioliss Pink Pro iron(though it's over $100), and it's features are:

220 degree(Celsius) heat setting

100% ceramic plates with Tourmaline crystals in them

swivel cord (a must-have)

infrared heat included (i don't get why though)

the high heat setting and the ceramic plates with tourmaline are really the important things. that tames the frizzy hair like nothing else! so when you go looking, focus on those two things, and you will get a good buy!Hair straightener?
hot tools tourmaline is what i use and i have really curley hair and it makes my hair pin straight its only like 50 dollars
chi , i have really curly hair and it straitens mine
CHI , the best hair straightener in the world, cost only 50-60$ on ebay. good luck! :)
Conair hair straighteners work well for me. But for extra curly hair thats hard to straighten try straightening sprays and than use the straightner after.

    Hair straightener problem?

ok i put hairspray on my hair and straighted my hair and than it got stuck in my hair straightener after words later its got hairspary stuff on it and i can't get it off of the straightener can someonne help me plz how to get it off i tried to clean it with water but it wont come out any ideas please help meHair straightener problem?
Try alchol or they have a special cleaner you can buy. Try heating it up then unplugging it, it works better when its warm.Hair straightener problem?
wet a napkin then rub it without it on hope it helps
    Alcohal
that happend to me on wednesday, use alchol it comes right off
Most flat irons say no hairspray. Sincethe damage is done there is a great little generic product on the same aisle as the curiling irons in your local walmart kmart etc, I dont know the name but it is a purple and green bottle pretty cheap like 4 bucks that is too clean curiling and straightening irons. Alcohol will work ok but don't make a habit of it. If you have one of the ionic straighteners it will mess up the plates after continued exposure.
yeah, use the alcohol noncence or buy the cleaner

I also sugest to not use it with hair spray in ( a little is... ok-ish )

    Hair straightener at stores!?

where can i get a chi striaghtener at a store? like what stores? i want like a not too expensive one. what store?

also, wher can i get a sedu straightener? what stores? i also want like a cheap one. Hair straightener at stores!?
you can get a chi straightener at alot of salons. or jc penny has them in theyre salon section as well. i know my cousin got her chi on ebay for a good price try there.

or if you know a hairdresser or cosmetologist go with them to sallys where you need a license to buy things. they usually get them cheaperHair straightener at stores!?
I saw a CHI straightener at Target the other day. It was around $90. I actually recommend using a ceramic Conair or a Revlon one. I found they had the same results on my hair as the CHI.

They're much cheaper and have similar results.

  • HAIR STRAIGHTENER!!!!?

So I want to buy I really good hair straightener...I'm thinking either a ';Conair Professional Straight Styles Straightening Iron'; or a ';Remington Professional Wet 2 Dry Straightener S8000';.

Which one should I get? or do you have any toher suggestions?HAIR STRAIGHTENER!!!!?
I would recommend a Chi, it may cost more but it's definetly worth it.HAIR STRAIGHTENER!!!!?
Personally I do not like Conair. I have a really good flat iron and it is a Revlon. I would suggest getting a Revlon. Chi is so overrated, you don't need a Chi unless you hair is *very* curly and unmanageble. Most people with regular hair do just fine with a $25-$40 flat iron.
dont go for drug store flat irons.

ANY TYPE FROM THEIR DOESNT WORK.

    well they do.

if you have thin hair then go for it.

but if you have moderate to thick save up some money and buy a pricier SALON flat iron that will actually do the job.

i reccomend the sedu flat iron or the solia iron.

do NOT get the CHI, it will fry your hair and it breaks easily.

    other really good brands include:

    coriolis

    GHD

    FHI

    babyliss

    paul mitchell

    h2pro

Don't get the conair. Conairs last only a month tops, my mate had 1.

The remmington wet2straight is MUCH better. You can have 30 heat settings on it can't u?

If these are not good then try GHD's. They have a kwl new purple 1 for xmas and a pink 1 for breast cancer care.

For better straightners but on a budget, any of babyliss's new models are GR8.

    Also chi.

    HOPE THIS HELPS!

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Conair products suck. My conair straightener lasted about 3 months and then quit working. I have the GVP from Sallys Beauty and it is the best straightener ever. Its the generic version of the CHI and works just as great....

    http://www.sallybeauty.com/gvp-flat-iron/a>
Definatly get one from a salon. They can tell you what is best for your hair and it is about as good as it gets. I use an Aquage and it is very nice. It runs at about $200.

Conair is not my favorite brand but whatever works for you!\

    Good Luck! :]
Get a Babyliss straightener. They are amazing. I used mine on one of my friend's hair. She is Mexican and has really long, thick, curly, hard to work with hair and my flat iron made it really straight.
thier are striaghtners that they sell at the mall they are about 120 150 that most they shine your hair and make them really straight and soft i dont now the name of them but they sell them at any mall
    Buy a CHi Straightner! [:

    Best one I know of.
out of those to get the remington i use it
i have a CHI and its the best :)
i think Chi is the best honestly

    Hair straightener?

What's a good, not TOO expensive, hair straightener that eliminates all frizz and keeps hair smooth/shiny?Hair straightener?
I have a wet 2 straight hair straightner and it works really good. I got it at Wal-mart for about $30Hair straightener?
Dove defrizz stuff always works great for my friend.
if i was going to get any kind of flat iron i would get chi bc chi is really good and chi products
i have the wet 2 straight also

even if ur hair is dry it works real good

    cheappp also
I have the CHI turbo. CHI is a brand of straightener. It was pretty expensive but I've been through 4 cheapo straighteners and they've literally fried my hair. The CHI is awesome, it leaves my hair soft and I can already tell a difference in the level of damage. I say splurge on a CHI.
I bought mine at Sally Beauty Supply.

Its gets up to 450 degrees and only cost $50

    Hair Straightener.....?

I am looking to buy a good quality Hair Straightener. Is it true that certain types/brands do not damage your hair as badly? If anyone knows ';the'; brand to buy...it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Hair Straightener.....?
Steam straighteners! Good ceramic straighteners...usually like 100 to 300 dollars Cdn. A smaller one is good to get straight to the roots in appose to the larger ones.

ps you can use sprays or someting to protect yoru hair from heat damage, just chekc ur drugstore hair section.Hair Straightener.....?
yes, its true that certain TYPES of hair straighteners damage your hair. But, if you buy a hair straightener that has ceramic plates, it'll leave your hair feeling silky, and won't damage it.

    hope i helped!
The straightener that i use is an ion...it helps with frizz and really does a great job. i don't know any straighteners that don't damage hair as much...i think it's more about how high you turn the heat up to??
    I think wet2straight is great :)
    I use a Conair and it's great!
A chi is the best one.But they cost alot, If you go to a store and look at them pick it up and see how heavy it is the heavier the better, make sure its ceramic. To get a good decent one i would spend about 50$ on one. The 15 dollar conair at walmart or something will damage your hair.
I've owned a few hair straighteners in my time and GHD's have came out on top so i would say those good luck x

    Hair straightener?

    Heyy

I have really really curly, thick, frizzy hair. I live in Florida, so it can get really humid outside. I am interested in buying this straightener: http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/demandware/a>

Hair Straightener : Solia or GHD ?

I am debating which one I should buy.Hair Straightener : Solia or GHD ?
GHD's, speaking of which I just used them :P

    http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=kNe0/a>

And just to say, if you don't think it's that straight, it's because I try not to straighten my ahir too much. (:

ALWAYS use heat protective spray and it won't hurt your hair.

    ^RR^Hair Straightener : Solia or GHD ?
any straightner is bad for ur hair burns ur hair relii bad....i noucz i havefrends whus hair have fallen alll off due to stratning....so dont try it lool...bu still GHD is good thats what ive heard lol

I have never used Solia, but my GHD's are fantastic :)
GHD you really cant beat it!

    Hair Straightener???

I'm looking to buy my first flat iron/ straightener. doe anybody have any suggestions, to brands, types, your favs,etc...Hair Straightener???
GHD all the way - nobody will tell you different!Hair Straightener???
I have a CHI, and I love it. The only problem is that it is expensive but it does not damage your hair as much as the others.
Try SeDu or Chi. They are a bit pricey, but they really work, add shine, and the settings allow you to pick a temp. that will not damage your hair. To test whether the straightener is good or not is to turn it on, put a tissue in between and test the settings. The setting that burns the tissue is too hot and will damage your hair quickly. The highest setting that does not burn the tissue is the best setting to use.
i think oz hair has the best straightener in the world!
    conair
    1. are u, a guy perhaps?

    2. Get a chi there expensive but pretty sweet.

    3. why straighten a mo
chi is the best brand their is. Its rather expensive tho but really worth it. its better to buy a chi now then to but lots of other cheep straightners and them be a waste. but i have realy curly hair and chi is the only thing that really straightens my hair good!! buy a chi! its worth it!
i recommend chi. it works really well.
If you have healthy hair go GHD but if your hair is colour treated especially if it's blonde don't buy the GHD cause it will sizzle your hair. I know this from my experience and my other blonde friends.
    I don't recommend Conair.
I have thick, medium length hair. I have a sedu flat iron. The only qualified place to get one is Folica. com. It's about $110 dollars, but it's worth the price. It stops frizz, straightens, flattens, and it makes the color of my hair look a lot more radiant. I love mine! I would definatly recommend it. Another thing you should know is that with flat irons, you get what you pay for. A $20 dollar one from walmart is not going to work as well as a $100 dollar one from a salon. Also, flat irons and straighteners are different. Straighteners, do just that. They straighten out your curls and waves. Flat irons flatten your hair, but they don't neccesarily stop all of your waves. It really depends on the look that you are going for. Good luck!

    %26lt;3Hair Straightener Help? Please?!?!?!?
even though the chi and sedu are good, the best in my opinion is the ghd. It's the one that most professional hair stylists use too in salons.

I bought one a year ago and it still works fabulously. You can use it to curl your hair too if you want. :) It's somewhat pricey at about $140ish, depending on where you buy it, but most straighteners are. :/Hair Straightener Help? Please?!?!?!?
i have the chi turbo and its great. i have thick hair which usually takes like an hour and a half to straighten but with the chi turbo i can do it in about half an hour.

its pretty pricey though, i got it for around $130
I like mine, the ISO, but the chi is extremely popular, and i think it works well too...
well in ireland we have GHD's and they are the best !
It depends on your budget, i really recommend the CHI, because it makes your hair silky smooth, it lasts all day and doesn't frizz.
Go to this place called ulta

Look online for a store locator they have a good selection
CHI'S are the best out there i had 1 and it lasted me soo long and keeps my hair from frizzing..

    Hair straightener smell?

im thinking of buying the Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1-1/4';) http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1558.html

but i read that it makes your hair smell horrible. is that true?

    PLEASE HELPHair straightener smell?
Just get the con air straightner it's only 20 all straightners work the same.Hair straightener smell?
Ok, I had this problem with my hair. After I used a flat iron I got this horrible smell. Here's what I do. Before I staighten my hair I spray my hair with Tresseme's Heat Tamer Spray. (You can find it at your local drugstore.) When I wash my hair I use Dove Intense Therapy shampoo and conditioner. Even if you don't have that smell it will prevent it.

    Hope I could help!
the only way it would smell is if you put some product on your hair first then straightened it because the heat does something to the product and it starts to smell bad it can also leave marks on your straightener.
i'm not sure. it probaby varies on the type of hair you have...also the amount of products that you put it your hair can be a possibility of the smell...try it out and if it smells return it
Hair straighteners don't make your hair smell horrible. Unless there a really cheap bad kind. I have one and as soon as your finished straightening it smells hot.(I know sounds weird but true) Hope I helped!

    Hair straightener question??

my hair straightener has a little comb on the inside of it but my friend's doesnt. if you know what i mean- which works better- straightener w/ comb in it or w/ out? thx!Hair straightener question??
Both will ruin your hair if you don't protect it with the lotions and potions available. Most straighteners don't have combs, because everyone knows that you should comb the section of hair through that you are straightening. I guess you could say, yours is doing that as you go along......but I would say if you came across some tangles - your straighteners will be on the hair too long, causing more damage not to mention the combination of those little teeth with the excess heat.Hair straightener question??
I had one of those but the comb broke D:

I say the comb. But theres not much of a diffrence.
honestly, i dont think it makes that much of a difference. The only difference i could say would be that with the comb it takes a little longer bc it's brushing %26amp; straigtening %26amp; also it may make your hair a llittle smoother, mine has one but it's removable so i just took it off.
i dont know u decide which one works better for YOUR hair
I would say a straightener WITHOUT a comb inside would work better. I personally own a Chi flat iron and it's the best investment I've ever made! It works wonderfully and is nothing like the other cheaper irons out there. Unfortunately Chi irons are a little more on the expensive side, but it's well worth it :)

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Hi. ummm..... ok, so i have 2 straighteners that both have the same temperature choices, they both work well on me, but when we try to straighten my sister's curly hair with our conairr one, her hair gets REALLY poofy and it curls a little at the ends, but when we use the Revolonn one, her hair stays smooth and shiny and it doesn't get poofy or curl at the ends. we use the same heat temperature, but one of them works way better than the other.... Why is that?

I think that that straightener will do a very good job straightening your hair, mine was even cheaper than that and it works fine!Hair Straightener Question?? 10 Points!! with link
My mom has one that looks very similar and let me test it out on my hair. I thought the iron heated up very well and FAST. It goes up to like 450, right? But when I put it on my hair to straighten it..... IT SUCKED%26gt; i mean like it couldn't straighten the hair because it wasn't even ';touching'; the hair. Like you would have to get a LARGE group of hair and then straighten it.... but then the strands would be too thick, which caused it to not straighten it. IDK%26gt;that was my personal experiences. But remember you could always keep it in REALLY good condition... give it a try on your hair... and if you don't like it. JUST RETURN%26gt; Hope this helps %26lt;3

This is the iron i have.... and works wonder on my

    CULRY thick hair!
If you don't mind spending money, get a GHD! I've had flat irons within the price range of yours and they were terrible. GHD gets the job done in 5 minutes on my thick hair.
well try it duh then if it is bad sell it to a someone take the money and get anyone that has a simple name and is a conair one they are good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hair straightener's?!?!?

My brithday is coming up soon and Im going to ask my parents for a hair straightener but they(and myself) have no clue on a good one and were to get it any good ideasHair straightener's?!?!?
I have the Chi I bought from the JC Penny Salon and it works wonders. It is very expensive, 150 dollars, but you really do get what you pay for. If your parents dont want to dish out so much money on a hair straightener i would go for a conair ionic straightener like this : http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9854674 which is what one of my freind owns and loves also. i would also reccomend the bedhead hair straightener. i have not used it but i love their hair products so im sure their electric products will work great as well. Both the conair hair and bedhead hairstraightener can both be bought at walmart, or even some drugstores.Hair straightener's?!?!?
if your parents are willing to spend a little extra to get a good one then i would say get a chi you can usually get them at sallys beauty supply or any other hair supply store or salons sometimes have them. also ebay has them.

If you want a cheaper one that still works well then get a remington wet to straight at target, wal mart, etc.

(dont use this straightener on wet hair it leaves it looking frizzy use it on dry hair)
I have the most un-straightenable hair in the world my cousin got one about 7 years ago that still works and to this day is the only straightener that works for me ... I asked for one for last Christmas last year and got one. My mum said it was $40 it is called Jilbere le Paris

    Model JBP2559

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Hands down, a Chi is the best. BUt it is also expensive. You can get one that will work well for you and not have to put out the money for a Chi. Look for variable heat settings, preferably in degrees so that you know how hot you are setting the unit. You should be able to get one that is decent with adjustable heat settings for about 50 dollars, where a Chi will set you back about 125 for a base model.
I use a Remington Wet2Straight. At first it wasn't too good, but now I've found a routine that works wonders. I take a shower %26amp; wash my hair, then I let it dry so that it's damp, then I spray Nexus Sleek Memory in my hair %26amp; brush through. Then I part my hair half up half down %26amp; spray my brush before brushing it through. Then I use the straightener (I set it on 21, which is for wet hair %26amp; not damp, but my hairs hard to straighten. That may depend on your hair.)%26amp; when I done with that part I'll let some of my hair down %26amp; repeat. It works really well for me %26amp; you can get it at any Wal*Mart. Good luck %26amp; Happy Birthday.
I use a GVP one. Sally has them in pink camo, black, blue, pink and purple. There are alot of great reviews on Sally's website for this flat iron.

    http://www.sallybeauty.com/ceramic-strai/a>

They also have a page that compares diferent flat irons.

i use conair... the pro one!!! its the one my aunt recommended and it works great. like u can take a peice of hair and straiten it once, quickly, and it will be done!!!!!!! it is super easy to run... and it is only likke $20

    Hair straightener question?

which one do you think is better...

the chi turbo or the new conair ionic steam straightener??Hair straightener question?
Well, idk about wich is better but the Chi has this certain type of metal in all of their straightners that burns and damages hair even WITH protective sprays. Still like i said idk about the conair but if i were you i wouldn`t get either. The straightener that i have is a Corioliss (go to corioliss.com to check pricing) and it is all ceramic and moistens hair to the very root to the very tip giving it the salon shine and DOESNT use PRODUCTS!!!! So it will save you alot of money in the long run and costs up to $50 LESS than the Chi. So even though the Chi straightens well, it will damage and fry hair. I also had the Chi and it broke after 3 weeks of using it only 3 times a week :(!! GO WITH NEITHER AND PICK CORIOLISS!!!! :) hope i helped! PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONHair straightener question?
I would say the Chi products have been recommended to me several times by salon professionals, yet the products are pricey. I have not been recommended the Conair products, therefore am unable to provide productive feedback regarding that item.

I hope this helps. Take Care~

    Hair straightener name...?

So I was the mall and I found aa hair straightener that I really liked, but I forget the name of it. It was at a cart in the middle of the mall. It was italian, and it started with the letter G. It came in either pink or black. There was two types, one was a regular hair straightener and the other was one that straightened wet hair, and it turned the wet hair dry. They were both ceramic straighteners by the way. Also, this hair straightener was voted best in a magazine (don't know which, sorry).

Does anyone know the name of it??

Thanks for any help!Hair straightener name...?
    chi?Hair straightener name...?
Give it a lot of thought before you straighten your hair.

I'm not sure about other races, but if you are White your hair will never be as healthy again after you have straightened it.

I know this from personal experience.

    Hair straightener??

Hi can anyone tell me what product works best to chemically straighten hair with the least amount of damage?? I am tired of doing it everyday with a flat iron LOL.

BTW I am white. thanks for your helpHair straightener??
You can get a mild relaxer. Since you've never gotten one before I don't suggest you do it yourself. Go to a beauty salon and ask for someone that has experience with relaxers or sometimes they're called straightening perms.Hair straightener??
well i think that you can go to a stylist and get it perminantly straightened but you could aslo get the home kit
go to parlor then they will do it for u, mybe it would be long for months coz of the product. atleast u dont have to do it everyday.
not sure about the chemical but the japanese 'rebonding' is probably the best. Make sure the salon is recommended by someone though. it depends on both the chemical and the skill
try L'oreaL X-tenso. constultation with a prof stylist required.
tresseme products..or nicky clarke products work great
water!!!! use a fan under the douche/shower
You may have to get a relaxer. I'm not sure if you've ever relaxed your hair...but definitely relax it and use a deep conditioner. Don't let it air dry. Sit under a dryer and wrap your hair.

Walgreens also has some good straighting products.

You can check them out on their website too!

this is the kind of straightener I have, I've had it for a couple years, works pretty well, but my aunt told me not to use the steamer on it, that is will make my hair frizzy. is that true?

also, how do you guys get your ends not to look so fried when you straighten your hair?

    thank you(:Hair straightener?
ok your hair is getting frizzy because of the steam! DONT USE IT!! to restore your hair get a shampoo AND conditioner that will help with that. i use herbal essance or sunsilk. i also have a GREAT straightner!! its called FHI. YOU CAN GET IT AT ANY BEUTY STORE! heres the link to the website!! i AWEAR this thing works great i really recomend it!!

    http://www.fhiheat.com/main.htmlHair straightener?
use a spray protector. and also i would switch straighteners. my older sister bought me a chi a year ago for christmas and it's by far the best. your hair looks shinier and is healthier. but the best answer is to only straighten your hair when you need to. your only supposed to once a week.

    good luck
I dont straighten my hair everyday so like my ends are pretty healthy and its good to trim your ends, it makes your hair grow faster and your ends wont look like sh*t. Also, leave in conditioner helps too, like if you are in for the day, throw in some leave in conditioner. =]
make sure to use a heat spray before you start straightening. It helps protect your hair and keeps from getting split ends. I use TRESemme Heat Taming Spray. You can get it at Walmart, Target, etc.

    Hair Straightener?

I've been looking for a hair straightener and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I have medium-thickness curly hair that tends to be frizzy. I naturally looked at www.target.com right away, and found one that I think I like. It's the Conair 200W Straightener (Wet-to-Dry Ceramic). I'm not really crazy about the price, but it seems high quality.) Has anyone ever used this straightener and liked/disliked it? Does anyone have a different straightener that they like better?

Here's the web address for the straightener I'm looking at:

    http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=/a>

Thanks for any advice you have to share...Hair Straightener?
I've tried many flat irons and I'm in love with the Chi iron. I've used this on many of my clients that have hair like yours. If your hair is curly and frizzy this is the best straightener. You can use this on all hair types from ethnic to fine. It's great, but it will cost you about $100. I would rather buy something that lasts for a long time and will work better than buying a cheap product that doesn't work. I think you'll waste your money buying the one from Target. You'll spend more money in the long run because you'll have to buy another one when you find this one doesn't work for your hair type. Also, I don't like the wet to dry ones because they do tend to damage hair. It's really not safe to flat iron wet hair. With the Chi iron, you can straighten hair that's slightly damp, but I wouldn't use any flat iron on wet hair.Hair Straightener?
get a chi. they are the best..lots of salons use them i have one and even though it was $150..it was totally worth it.
i dont really lyk it cuz if i put my wet hair on it, it drys it really bad. thats wat the title says WET TO DRY. but i used sumthin else to help it. anyways these r creams and serums, try them:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh/a>

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh/a>
i've used wet2 dry straighteners and they just make ur hair smell1

i got this really nice straighten er from san fransisco
if your really serious about getting a straightener or you plan on using it a lot, i would recommend a high quality one like a Chi or Sedu. They run high priced but you really get what you pay for and your hair doesnt fry. Straighteners from Walmart and Target pale in comparison, but of course not everyone straightens their hair enough to make it worth it. Conairs are good for the price...the straightener you suggest is good excpet no matter what the product claims are, never straighten your hair when its wet, it will damage it beyond repair. its just a gimmick...a regular ceramic straightener should do you just fine. good luck :)
Any type of straghtener with ceramic plates is a good one. If you buy the ones with the metal plates they tend to break the ends of your hair.
I have a Vidal Sassoon that works really well it and it was only 30 bucks or so but my hair is just wavy, not really curly. Not sure if it would work as well on really curly hair.
I have a friend that uses it and likes it very much...

I just blow dry my hair straight, and then use a curling iron to smooth and straighten stubborn spots....I have also started using the John Freida line of hair smoothers and like them very much.
i bought cholche and i love it my hair is very curly and now i dont have any problem to stright or curl my hair

i bought it from a lady wjo own salon here in calgary if you want more infr just let me know:)

  • Hair straightener again...?

If I get a straightener where I can straighten my hair while wet, will it damage my hair less?Hair straightener again...?
    Nope

When you apply heat directly to wet hair, you're actually boiling it. Sounds bad, huh?

Having seen the damage that that causes, I personally prefer straightening my hair (with an iron) when it's dry. Use a styling agent for heat styling (Aveda has the best line), that might cut down on the damage.Hair straightener again...?
NO .... IT IS BAD 4 U .... straightner in general is bad ! ... u ll lose hair, it's texture and strength ... i suggest go natural ....babe !

I work at a beauty supply shop, they are both really good however I get like 4 chi straightener's returned a week because the chi on and off switch has something wrong with it.
I always thought GHD was THE ULTIMATE hair straightener. That's what heaps of people say anyway... lol.
    I don't straighten my hair.

I feel bad saying this, My hair is naturally dead straight. My friends get jealous :S
Honestly never heard of GHD, but I know a lot of people that swear by CHI. Works wonders.
CHI my sister had one andddd it was recommended by our hairdresser. their really nice.
    GHD straighteners definately.

    Hair straightener?

should i get a chi hair straightener or a croc hair straightener???Hair straightener?
Honestly, both brands have a very bad reputation.I would invest in a Sedu or Solia. They are the 2 highest rated flat irons in the world.Hair straightener?
I dont know anything about the croc... But i do own a chi and i've had it for over 2 years now and it still works great for me
Research both brands to see what brand is the best and ask friends around if they've used them and what they think.
Neither go for GHD'S. In my opinion these are the best on the market by far. I've had mine for 4 years now and they are still as good as new. My hair stays poker straight even in a hot and sweaty club.
    chi is the best!
hi drew you know who this is right i think neither you can't afford a hair straightener
Chi is amazing!! I have had it for over two years and it has not broken yet. It leaves hair sleek and shiny. I highly recommend it.

    I bought a new Amika Hair STRAIGHTENER...HELP?

Today I bought an Amika Hair Straightener and i forgot how to do the curls ....i tried tha how tos on tha website but i still can't do it....someone please help me!!I bought a new Amika Hair STRAIGHTENER...HELP?
Hold the straightener with your arm upside down, like your thumb is up. Grab the hair like you're going to straighten it with your hand like that. Then flip your hand so the thumb is down, and pull it really slowly downwards almost like you're straightening it, except that the hair is wrapped around.

My Amika worked great until it broke :(. Keep the warranty just in case.

  • Hair straightener ? can't find it?

i went to get my hair cut at this place in Florida called boom hair. They straightened my hair i want it but i am not sure which company it is from i only know it is black with their logo in white it looks almost identical to this one: http://hairstraighteners.me/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sedu-hair-straightener.jpg

i really want it but if none of you know what hair straightener it is can you recommend one that is really good and not toooo expensiveHair straightener ? can't find it?
CHI. for sure. they run from about $100 bucks to $300 bucks, but you can get one at target for 100, which is what i have. they are amazing.Hair straightener ? can't find it?
Conair has great straighteners! Also chi like the others said. I'm not sure about the straightener you said but that looks like a good one.

You can find all straightners (good ones) at hair salons, nail salons, and in malls on cart thingiez!

I use conair and it works really well.

If you find a straightner less that 60 dollars do NOT get it. The least you should spend is 75$! They arnt cheap. But trust me, they will last longer the more expensive it is!
Well my sister has Sedu. Works pretty good if your careful. Chi is probably the most popular. And my favorite--The Amika is awesome. Try amazon if you get an amika. I got a curling iron, hair dryer, and the straightener for 100. and just the straightener runs for about 70 on there! But the hair dryer broke. but the straightener is a beast. Once, I left it on from Friday till Sunday on accident and it didnt even burn out or anything. works just as well as it did when i got it.(The straightener straightens, curls, flips, and waves)
    Chi has really good straighteners

    Conair has average ones
i would go with a chi straightener, they're really good

    Hair straightener.....?

whats the best hair straightenerHair straightener.....?
chi most definelty. i have one and it works great, especially if you like your hair pin straight.Hair straightener.....?
    chi for sure.

expensive, but it has a warranty and is totally worth it.

    HAIR STRAIGHTENER??????????

What is the best kind of hair straightener? i have like way-ish hair.HAIR STRAIGHTENER??????????
If you're looking for a hair iron, think the Chi wet-to-dry is excellent. It is not too wide,so it's good for straightening at the roots.and has good variable heat control. Not a cheap iron, but well worth the money,in my view. Best used on dry or very slightly damp hair, and for protection from heat, good to use a drop of some silicone-based glosser rubbed between palms and applied before straightening.HAIR STRAIGHTENER??????????
well any salon stylist would tell you to get a chi. the prices for that can range from $100-150.00, if price is an issue just go to a walmart or a sally beauty supply and look for a different brand. I have a chi and a revlon flat iron. i got the chi at 175.00 when it first came out, and the revlon like two years ago for $55.00. personally i like the revlon best.

    Hair straightener purchasing help!?

Okay so my flat iron just recently burned out and now I need a new one.

I heard Chi irons are ';the best';, but then I did my research and found out about ';Solia'; irons. So which ones are better or better for my hair type? I have big wavy hair that will easily go back to its wavy state from perfectly straight in just the slightest bit of humidity. Also, if possible please include what model of the flat iron would be best. Thanks! :DHair straightener purchasing help!?
The new Paul mitchell Is the best, personally that's what i Think, and you get a free Ionic Hair dryer with it ^^Hair straightener purchasing help!?
well heres the thing with the chi you cant change the heat temp its very high temp but you cant change it but if you get the solia it also gets very hot but you can change the heat temp to what ever you want so depending on what you prefer. but i've also heard that the chi is known to burn and damage hair, you could also look into getting a ghd straitghtner their pretty top of the line too!
Don't fall for the hype of all those pricey brands.

All you need to look for is an iron that heats up to 300 degrees, has porcelain plates(almost all of them do now), and has heat settings.

Play with the settings until you find the right temp for your hair type.

I have a an iron I have used in my salon for 2 years with no problems.

    I paid $30 for it.

Remember it is the heat that flattens your hair...Not the brand name or price.

To all of you that fell for the hype...SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Any Chi will work- they use infrared heat to dry hair completely and also porcelain plates for uniform heat. I have super curly hair and it will curl easily in humidity but the Chi has been a miracle...and it isn't as damaging as a lot of other straighteners.
I recommend a CHI straightener, specifically one of the Limited Edition ones. I use one and it's great. My hair stays straight all day, regardless of the humidity, and straightening is fast and easy. (In case you're wondering, I too have wavy hair.)
I have curly, thick hair. And a CHI is the best I've ever used. I've used alot too. Biosilk also works good for me. I buy them at my local JCPenny.
    chi.

just the plain black one...its one inch.

you could get a design if you want but the just plainest black one lasts longer...
The chi are better than any straighteners ever.
I own a chi and i love it. I can straighten my hair quick and it looks good. I am not sure though because I havent really tried anything else.

    sorry

    its worth the moneyy

and i would relaly recommend u search for a good price and get one

    there are other brands

but they break easily and they dont work as well...

maybe they are cheaper (20-30 dollars) but it wont last as long..so you would have to by more then one

which would result in u spending alot more money then splurging a little to buy the chi

    i hope i helped you

    best of luck =]
my sister just bought one for me and its one that will straighten my hair while its still wet so i dont have to fumble around with a hair dryer. it cost under 100 bucks and its really great. i think its a conair.
I love my remington wet to straight, but apparently it fries your hair? I have no problems with it!
I looked into GHD at one point but decided to go for a Sedu. I will never NEVER EVER go back to a CHI. The Chi ruined the ends of my hair even with hair protecting spray, but the Sedu really makes me hair look silky every time I use it. I use the Sedu heat spray with my iron and I LOVE IT. I bought my Sedu from www.folica.com....they have a 1 year warranty and you can try it for 30 days and take it back if it doesn't work for a full refund. I have the Sedu in 1.5'; and 1'; (for bangs and curling). Do NOT use cheap $50 irons...trust me. I used to own a Revlon and a Conair and it tore up my hair over time. The Sedu is much hotter, has adjustable heat settings, and keeps my hair straight until the next day. They just came out with a new one for 2008, but I haven't tried it yet. You can curl your hair with this one too.
    phi is deffanetly the best.

    espessially for coarse hair.

    like mine.

im not sure about the price though.

    try ebay.
GHDs are the best, Babyliss straighteners are good too.
Jibere's are really nice!!! I love mine, it costs 70-80 but are well worth the money, i've had mine 2 years now and it works like its brand new. The ones that are cheap are usually coated with ceramic and junk so it scrapes off. And they usually only work 3-4 months. It is well worth it to buy a straightener that will work for a long time and not FRY your hair!!!
sedu. my sisters has it and the loveeee it. it seriously looks soo straight and goodd its ceramic and doesnt kill and damage your hair. the price was like 135 but they brought it bout 1 year ago but it works great. if your going to spend a 100 dollars dont just waste and get a stupid cheap one. spend a little bit more money and get a better one.

also i suggest getting a tremese proctecting spray so you dont damge your hair. good luck shoppin = )
i use this wet to straight straightener [but NEVER use it wen ur hair is wet!] i use it because u can change the temp so it doesnt burn ur hair and its ceramic. i got mine at target for like 20 dollars so yea hope this helps =]
I got the Conair Infiniti for Christmas. its really good. I like it alot. It was only 50 dollars at target and they sell them at wal mart. So try one of these stores. theyre great! Oh and its the 2'; one. so its better.

    Hair Straightener Question???

I was wondering, does it makes a difference whether a straightener is made of 100 percent ceramic or if it has some iron in it?

I don't want to fry my hair!

Thank you so much! Hair Straightener Question???
Well, the fully ceramic irons damage your hair less.

If your really want to not fry your hair, its best to use a

ceramic straightener with a heat protective spray (something like VO5 heat damage spray thats only a few dollars at a drugstore... it comes in a red bottle).

    Hope it helps:]Hair Straightener Question???

    Hair Straightener Suggestions?!?

My hair is naturally wavy. I'm looking for an affordable straightener that will straighten and shine w/o damaging my hair. Any suggestions?Hair Straightener Suggestions?!?
i personally use a conair straightener, it only cost me about $25 when i bought it. They have a lot of different styles that range from the size of the plates to the heat adjustment. Some of the more detailed ones are a little more expensive, but in all u probably wouldn't spend more than 40 dollars. The straightener i use has ceramic plates and it heats up in 30 seconds, its good quality, and i have had it for about 3 years now and it hasn't had any problems.

    good luck!Hair Straightener Suggestions?!?
i use HerStyler. it's $120 but it works REALLY well. i have wavy hair too, it takes me about 10-15 minutes to straighten all of my hair. i had a cheaper straightening iron (conair) but it didn't really work that great, and it took FOREVER to do my hair with it. it's worth it to spend a little extra on a product like this.
I have a bed head Straightener and i think it is amazing i got mine on sale for $40 and its usually more than that so. I don't think it was bad. It makes your hair look shiny and it doesn't make it greasy. Also the new in styler works amazing.

I'm looking for a hair straightener brand....?

the one i'm looking for starts with a j, its like jerasellies, or something...im probably completely off...but any other brand that works well is great too! thnxI'm looking for a hair straightener brand....?
I bought a CHI a few years ago and it works AMAZINGLY. I def reccommend it even though they are a bit pricey. It was the best hair straightener i have ever bought :)I'm looking for a hair straightener brand....?
i use the remington wet2straight hari straightner i love it!. you can straighten it while it is wet which is a total time saver. and i have like super curly hair and it straightens it so easily!. its amazing.

    hoped i helped.
I know CHI works really good but is like $130.00. Another good one is EMI. I personally think works just as good as a CHI and EMI hair straighteners are only like $30.00!
try a chi straightener, a little pricey, but totally worth it

    Hair straightener question??? 10 pts?

    okay for the THIRD time

what is the difference between CERAMIC and TOURMALINE?

which is better and why? please don't just say ';ceramic is better'; explain your answer well and i will give you best answerHair straightener question??? 10 pts?
Tourmaline plates produce a greater number of negative ions than do ceramic plates. Negative ions straighten your hair for far longer and give it a silkier, shinier look. These straightners often have more gadgets and gizmo's then a normal ceramic straighterner. Meaning that they are more expensive, but if you're thinking of buying a flat iron you should try to buy a flat iron with plates that have been plated with tourmaline.

Ceramic heating elements have constant heat, with a very fast heat up time (less than 10 seconds). Ceramic plates prevent heat damage, and unlike the Tourmaline straighteners, ceramic straightners can be found almost anywhere at a lower price. the heavier and more dense the plates are the better. I recomend the well known CHI 1'; ceramic plate straightener.

Both plates are very similar, and your hair will be safe with either one.Hair straightener question??? 10 pts?
There are not many differences between the ceramic hair iron and the tourmaline flat iron, as they almost do the same job. But some of the noticeable differences.

Tourmaline flat irons produce great number of negative ions, which strengthens the hair for long, and also gives a silkier and shinier look. Whereas, the ceramic hair iron does not give as many negative ions as tourmaline flat irons, this is necessary to keep your hair healthy and silky.

The hair straighteners which have ceramic plates, prevents your hair from the damage which is caused due to heat. Tourmaline flat irons does this job well, as it produces more negative ions, to give you to smooth, shiny and silky hair, that you always wanted to have.

The tourmaline flat irons are infused with ceramic heater and plates, to give you better results. But ceramic hair irons, are not infused with tourmaline plates or the heater.

Tourmaline flat irons are relatively cheaper to the ceramic hair irons.

Tourmaline flat irons are said to take just 25 seconds to straighten your hair, whereas the ceramic hair irons takes slightly longer time. It takes me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair with a ceramic iron (I have long hair).

Though tourmaline flat irons gives you better results than the ceramic hair irons, people prefer the ceramic hair irons the most.
ok this is ez lol-ceramic heats up more evenly and faster and provides more even flatironing to your hair leaving it more healthy tourmaline does the complete opposite say u dired your hair w a blow dryer/ and use the ceramic it will go over the wet hair without too much damage and the Tourmaline -well it will brun
    Ceramic is better.

because other types will RUIN your hair.

also, to make your hair straighten better and protect it from the heat, i highly recommend Aquage. it makes my hair super straight, and i have no damage :pp

any more questions, email me :)
tourmaline controsl fly aways. its a cehmical that acts as an anti frizz. and helps control the flyaways. Ceramic is bad for long term use. most cheap flat irons are made of it. but it can really fry the ends of your hair.

    hope i helped!
    Ceramic is the better deal.

Ceramic won't burn or fry your hair like tourmaline will.

It basically keeps your hair alot nicer and doesn't fry it.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;/a>
Ceramic is a lot gentler on your hair strands, will protect them better. Tourmaline is more likely to cause breakage, although both will damage your hair to some extent.
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;/a>
ceramin becuse it doesnt fry ur hair as much,,,trust me i always get told i have shiny hair..also spray protector on it.,..i dont my hair just naturally shiny,,,but ya just to protect it,,,
ceramic is a type of coating it protect ur hair from being so damaged
forget all of that the best straightener is a chi.

    Hair straightener..?

hi. lol. i have a wet to dry, thought i would use it for wet but turns out i don't. it takes forever to straighten it dry. i'm caucasian, have sorta wavy hair, a little past my shoulders, and prone to frizz. i used to have the basic and most popular conair one with the ionic tourmaline but that took still took a while to straighten my hair. i also take really good care of my hair.. i have the conair infiniti hair designer which straightens your hair but i wind up having to straighten it with the straightner again in the morning.. but im too lazy to do all of that unless i'm really going somewhere special. can someone tell me a really good straightener (preferably under 100..lol) that can straighten hair quickly, nicely, reduces frizz, and *doesn't fry my hair* PLEASE. also, i have nexxus heat styling protector, it says u can spray it on dry hair.. but if you spray it on dry hair does it make it oily or crunchy, does anyone know?

    thanks so much. dakota.Hair straightener..?

  • Hair straightener burn HELP!?

i burnt the hair straightener on the tip of my figner.

its really soare, so i put some icecubes in water

and left my finger in there for about 3 minutes.

i took it out, and after 2 minutes the pain came

    back again.

how can i make it not hurt as much and get

    the swelling to go down.

    thankss :P:P:PHair straightener burn HELP!?
    have you tried gels//creams that treat burns???%26lt;

they should helpHair straightener burn HELP!?
dont EVER put ice on burns..i read that in my health book

Keep ice on it for like 15 minutes initially after the burn. It may hurt for a while, but the longer you keep ice on it, the less likely it will blister
First off, you really shouldn't have put ice on your burn. That makes your finger get even more swollen, which in fact, does bring the pain back.

What I recommend is putting a dab of toothpaste on the burn and wrapping it with a bandage. Sounds funky, I know, but trust me it works.

    Hope this helps (:
aloe vera is terrific for it !!!! trust me ! u can get aloe vera cream ( or gell cream ...kinda looks like hair gell ) or lotion or ointment or even burn ointment at any drug store or wal-mart...and aloe vera cools it down and relieves it better than just ice ...but you can mix ice with it for a little while ...and maybe use a bandaid or wrap .

i used to even have a plant of aloe vera and all we did was tear of one of the stims and squeeze out the gooey juice and put it on ur burn and it feels really cool .awww.
Try putting some toothepaste, or put on some salt/stick it in salt water. Just in case you burn it again, or if you ever burn yourself again, don't EVER put it in cold water or ice. You may think you're helping it but you're really not.

I guess it'd be okay if its just a minor burn, but if it's a serious one that starts to have blisters and stuff get some burn cream and jsut let it heal naturally. Just remember to not put it in cold water or ice.
Call your local druggiest and see if they carry ';Butisen Picrate'; not sure of the spelling. Mom several years ago grabbed the working end of a hot curling iron. I grabbed it and applied and it never swelled or even got sore.

    Hair Straightener: Solia or Sedu?

have spanish hair but its not bad. Its naturally like wavy-ish. I dont know whether to get the Solia or Sedu. Im leaning toward the Sedu because I heard the Solia breaks after a couple of months. Im not sure though because in some videos i saw, the sedu looks like it makes your hair stick together as if it were oily. Help!!Hair Straightener: Solia or Sedu?
I don't know either of those, but I have a cortex.. It's pricey but works really well.. It is literally the only one that has ever worked on my hair.. I have thick, wavy hair that like to poof up at times.. If your hair is similar you could at least take a look.

I love the one my stylist has, a Paul Mitchell!
Infiniti by conair. It has four different temperatures. It's great!!! =)
GHD. they are AMAZING! most girls in ireland have them. they do my hair perfectly and i have tight curls. they cost 拢100 though. pricey but worth it.
GHD seriously couldnt live without them. they do everything. well worth every penny
ceramic conairs are decent. and they run 20-40 dollars.

paul mitchell is obviously a great one. you can find them new on Ebay for 100.
I got a 2-in-1 hair straightener and curling iron.

I bought it from Wal-Mart for only $30 and its amazing!

    I absolutely love it!

With the hair straightener, I can also slightly curl my ends.

It is called Infiniti by Conair and it can adjust temperatures and it heats up real fast!
use CONAIR. im not kidding, its really good. you cn control the temperature and everything. its ceramic, so thats also a plus. and its no more than $25. it lasts long too. i trust it %26amp; recomment it :DD
i got my starightener for $110 and it is a baby bliss
I have Ion's Color Brilliance Wet-to-Dry flat iron. Around 80 or 90 dollars at Sally's, and periodically goes on sale. Its FRIGGEN FANTASTIC!! I have super-doopey pigtail curls. When I let my hair air dry, its an inch off my head, and 6 inches when straightened, no joke. This flat iron is high-quality ceramic, so you hair glides off the plate, no tug. Its also designed to lock in hair color, which it does do very well (I notice my red stays for like 3 weeks longer). Its also cute to boot. Its white and purple, with glitter embedded into the white parts. Sally's also has a 90 day return policy with receipt. So if you try an appliance there and don't like it, you can always take it back. You have nothing to lose. However, if it can straighten my head, it can definitely straighten yours.
I use a straightener on my hair everytime I wash and dry it.

I have tried 2 and spent over 200 on each. My newest one I purchased is an I.S.O. I got an incredible deal in a kiosk in a mall in San Antonio..and the straightener is INCREDIBLE!! It literally brings out the natural oils in my hair(my hair is dry) when I use it, and makes my hair shine~! I am totally amazed and love it! I highly recommend it. Its the best I have used, and has a lifetime warranty. My hair has actually looked and become healthier since I have been using it.

Hope this helps. I think they have a website as well. :)

ghd's are the best!! You can get them off amazon or a good hairdresser, they are about 拢100 though theyre worth it cos I have some :)

I need hair straightener help please !?

    okay so.

my hair naturally is curly and extremely frizzy.

so frizzy it sticks out a mile when i dry it.

so i use a hair straightener every time i wash my hair - which is usually every other or every third day.

    so im looking for:

    1) hair products to help protect my hair from heat damage

    2) a fantastic straightener because mines ****

    3) hair products to prevent frizzing in humid weather

    please help me !

love xx.I need hair straightener help please !?
\1. Its a 10! Miracle leave in product spray.

(supposidly does ten things...repairs dry damaged hair, adds shine, detangles, controls fizz, seals and projects hair color, prevents split ends, stops breakage, creates silkiness, enhances natural body, flat iron spray and thermal protectant)

    2. GHD, CHI (have both, like the GHD a bit better)

    3. umm, its a 10! or S Factor's defrizz serum.I need hair straightener help please !?
Ok. I have extremely frizzy hair just like you. I use paul mitchell heat protection spray to protect my hair from heat damage (only available at salons or online) and I also use a straightener from revlon called wet/dry. It works pretty good. It drys your hair and straightens it at the same time. If you want just a regular good straightener, then try something from colorful seasons, or just conair. Get a ceramic one, because metal ones are REALLY terrible for your hair. The only thing is....if you want a good straightener, then you'll probly have to pay some money. My colorful seasons straightener cost 80 dollars, but it was worth it because it works really good.

Or, you could just do it where you don't have to use a straightener. Idk because it takes longer, but just get one of those round styling brushes and while you're blow drying your hair just use that to get the curls out. Idk. Anyway, I use ion anti-frizz solutions straightening shampoo and conditioner to prevent frizzing in humid weather. It works really good.

Well I really hoped this helped!!!!!=)
    1. tresemme heat protecting spray

    2. chi all the way

    3. tresemme smooth and silky products (shampoo, conditioner, anti frizz secret smoothing creme, and no frizz shine spray)

i have frizzy hair too and to get my hair super straight i straight it in layers starting at the bottom of my head and working my way up and straighten it in very small sections. the smaller the section the straighter it will be. then when i done straightening it i blast it with a blow dryer on the cool setting this will keep it straight all day
    i can only answer # 2. sry.

mine works really well. it is a hot tools professional ceramic straightener. keep in mind though, that if you get a ceramic one, no matter what brand, it will make your hair very soft and shiny (not greasy) chi's are good, but they are also expensive

also, if you don't mind me saying this, don't straighten your hair everyday. it is really bad for your hair! try scrunching it after you get out of the shower. go to ulta and look for a de frizz spray. they have awesome products. hope this helps sweetie!!! :)
You could try TresSemme Heat Tamer Spray.

    Works pretty well.

Chi straighteners are very good but they are very expensive.

I just use a Revlon straightener and it's alright.

For frizz, try Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Hair Serum (Something liek that)

    only joking!

it's a heated tool for people to straighten their hair
A tool to straighten your hair, if this is what you mean, but your question doesn't make sense
hair straighteners are hair irons that straighten your hair temporarily and you can also buy hair straightening serum that helps straighten your hair
    Tool for straightening hair, duh!
its a heating tool wihich straightnens ur hair if ur hair is curly x
its a thing that straightens your hair

It's a device to straighten unrly/curly hair, like tongues curl it, these are the same shape but with flat irons instead of the round barrell

And my daughter couldn't live without them apparently!
Its a thing that gets hot and you put you hair between the 2 hot pieces and it makes you hair straight!

People with curly hair like 2 use it!

The other day I was straightening my hair and I accidentally burnt my chin. My skin that had been burnt turned darker, and I thought that rubbing it would take that darkness away.. That happened to me over Christmas except it was on my ear. you can put neosporan on it, and then after a couple of days make-up.Burn from hair straightener!?
put some neosporin on it and give it some time to dry and then put powder coverup over that. or you can take a dabof liquid foundation and mix it with some neosporin and dab that over it
Try putting neosporin on it before you go to bed.

I don't think it'll help conceal the burn, but it will help it heal faster and keep a scar from forming.

    Non-electric hair straightener..?

Does it work? Does it succeed in straightening ure hair?Non-electric hair straightener..?
I have tried a few chemical relaxers that really dry your hair out, not to mention break a few near the scalp. However, I did come across Dr Miracle's Hair Straightening Kit @ a CVS about 6 months ago or so. It didn't dry my hair out as bad as the others I've tried. None really ';straighten'; my hair to where I don't need to flat iron it but it relaxes my curls so they're not so tight. I'd recommend trying it. Not sure if the name is exactly right but I do know it's Dr Miracle something or other. Hope this helps!Non-electric hair straightener..?

They are very easy to handle and easy to use. I can say they are hair friendly straighteners. takes care of the hair and also no damamges.
GHDs are very strong but they singe your hair! go for something by toni and guy or remington, these are good brands but they won't do your hair as much damage. use heat guard as well, it helps stop your hair getting damaged. hope i helped!
FH1 makes really good ones. Chi also have good flat irons
    REMINGTON
either a chi or a rusk. they both are amazing, but rusk costs more and gets hotter.

You need to go to folica.com right now! They have a list of the ten best everything from 2009, including flat irons. The top is the tourmaline something something iron by sedu. I bought it and it works wonders!! Also if you look online, it's often compared to chis and I always got the impression that sedus were even better.
    Hi ,

Use Braun Straighteners for the best results and value for money.

You can go through www.braun.com for more details.

    GHD is definitely the best.

    Then a Chi. (:
CHI :) they last 4ever and are amaaazing.. make sure to use a heat protective spray ;)
    ghd's all the way :)

A good HAIR STRAIGHTENER WORTH THE MONEY....????

please help mee.........i have REALLY thick curly hair and i need one that will straighten FAST...please help meA good HAIR STRAIGHTENER WORTH THE MONEY....????
The chi...that works very well becuase i have it and love it. It was worth the money..=)A good HAIR STRAIGHTENER WORTH THE MONEY....????
it's called '; Wet-To-Straight.'; you can straightn your hair whether it's wet or dry and it works realy good.
I just bought a titanium one that has 40 heat settings and heats up to 450 degrees. I tried it and I LOVE it!! Nothing has worked as well on my hair.
Go to a beauty supply store, like Sally's and buy a straightener. It may be expenisve, but it's definalty worth the money and will work wonders on your hair.
I have super thick curly hair and the CHI is the best!!! Well worth the money...don't do the wet to straight trust me you will be sooo sorry.
try the conair 1! it heats up in 30 seconds and it gets really really hot..i have thick curly hair to and it seems to work good for me..its only bout 30 dollors i think!

    good luck!
    Probably at Sally's beauty supply.
Get the CHI. I own one, all of my friends went out and bought one after they used mine. Every salon I go to uses them. They are top quality.

I have naturally curly hair and the CHI straightens mine, no problem. Even when I wash my hair at night, let it air dry while I sleep, and wake up in the morning with EXTREME curly bedhead. Also, It's thin enough that I can even twist it around as I'm straightening my hair so it curls it too.

It's a bit expensive, but it's worth the money. I've had mine for a little over 2 years and it works as well as the day I bought it. It heats up in 30 seconds, so it's fast, and I can even use it on my hair when it's a little damp. (Remember, it's never a good idea to use hot tools on wet hair)
    chi.

    even though its expensive.

  • Flat iron/hair straightener?

i want to buy a flat iron/hair straightener that has a swivel cord because that prevents it from tangling when you try to curl your hair

i have a conair flat iron right now and i curl my hair with it, but my hair keeps getting tangle in it because the cord doesn't rotate..it sucks

what stores can i buy a flat iron/hair straightener w/ a swivel cord from?

    or where?

    no on-line stores.

    thankx

    [Sacramento California]Flat iron/hair straightener?
well someones already said chi but noone said where to buy them!

they don't sell them at sallys

they sell them at regis hair salon (it's in the mall) for like $124 (that's where i got mine)

and they sell them at target for 100 but all the ones there are tacky (like hot pink or cheetah print)

but whatever, noone cares what it looks like as long as it straightens your hair

    your choiceFlat iron/hair straightener?
The Best Are GHD's Which You Can Buy From Most Hairdressers. They Curl Really Well If You Know How To.

They Also Sell CHS But They Dont Curl Unless They Have A Round Barrel And They Arent As Good, Especially Not On Thick Hair.

    Hope This Helps!!
um a chi has a swivel cord id def reccoment spending your money on a good one especially if you do it daily cause conair cheap ones can RUIN your hair but id try sallys maybe :]
most hair salons have straighteners called chis... they work really good and they'e about 100 dollars but they are amazing!

    Help my hair straightener!!!?

My hair straightener has a lot of gunk like hairspray on it. How do I clean it off.Help my hair straightener!!!?
Try using soap and water and if this doesn't work use a little nail polish remover it also depends on what type of material is used in the making of the hair straightener.Help my hair straightener!!!?
Just get a Kleenex or wash cloth, and rub it off. Use a cleaner too if it's being stubborn. Make sure it's not on though when you do
Heat it up and then use something to scrape it off with but beareful because it will be hot
Wipe w/ a damp towel when it hot (BECAREFUL).
While it is heated on high, with a thick towel or cloth, wipe the faces (plates) of the straightener. Don't put anything like water on the cloth just wipe it off but you have to make sure that your straightener is on high.

Try not to burn your fingers though.

    Hope I Helped.
try cleaning with windex first and then do a towel with water over it..make sure it is disconnected and it's not hot...and wait until you use it again...........make sure is DRY!
My hair stylist said to use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and the gunk will rub off. This really works!
    with a hairproduct cleaner...

%26amp; its only about $25The best hair straightener.! pleasee help.?
i've heard that Sedu is pretty good but i've never tried it.

i use the Amika flat iron. it has floating ceramic plates and improves the condition of your hair. after using this flat iroin and not my old on (Vidal Sassoon) the number of split ends have decreased. it heats up in less than 20 seconds and it works pretty fast. and i have very long thick frizzy curly/ wavy hair. i got it at the mall, it was for 250.00 but just bargain down. i got it for 80.00!! and its reeeeaallyy good!! another good one under $50 is the HAI flat iron. my friend has one and i use it alll the time...both are reaallyy good though.

    hope i helped!
    Hi!-

The all-time best straightener is... Drum roll please! =]..... the CORIOLISS STRAIGHTENER! Unlike the Chi it is actually 100% full ceramic! The CHi is only part ceramic. Corioliss is sorta expensive but sooo worth it! Also I think the best protectent for straightening is Biolage. Hope I helped!

    Jamie.
i have a vidal sassoon too,, ((( actually my sister has one lol))) and it takes tooo long. if ur budget is onli 50 thn ur not going to b rlly able 2 afford an excellent iron. like if u wantd 2 spend around 85 u get the solia which is awesome lol. 50 u cant get the best u getcrappy ones like lol vidal sassoon and conair. they both suck. u mite not thnk it now but aftr u use a gud iron ul b surprised. but if u want to consider it go to folica.com
Chi! It's about $100. But you'll never have to buy a new one again! They last forever! And they're used by most professionals. There is a Chi oil stuff, that you put on your hair before you straighten it. Or if you go to Sally's there is a spray I believe is in a red bottle. I just dont remember the name.
I have a Jilbere de Paris straightener and it works really good. It was about $50 at Sally Beauty

and I use Beyond The Zone- Turn up the heat protection spray

    its orange :]
Use GHD hair straighteners, they work wonders, my friend does her hair with them, and she wakes up in the morning and its still straight. Try it Get back to me on how it works
Well I have been told that you should use a 100% ceramic straightener...

But I use a CHI and it works fine..

    Good luck.

Best UK hair straightener (equalivant to Farouk's CHI, or Sedu)?

Any suggestions would be helpful. I'll be needing to purchase a hair straightener from the UK, as I won't be taking mine. I need advice on what straighteners are best, because I'm not familiar with any of the European Brands, and I don't see any American Brands for European use. :SBest UK hair straightener (equalivant to Farouk's CHI, or Sedu)?
The best brand by far in the UK is GHD - they're not cheap but they're excellent and are used by most hairdressers. They're about 拢80 here so that would be around $145.

If it's something cheaper you're after, other decent brands include Toni and Guy, Vidal Sassoon and Babyliss. These products can all be bought on the UK high street and prices start at around 拢40.Best UK hair straightener (equalivant to Farouk's CHI, or Sedu)?
GHD are absolutely great, they are what most of the salons here in the UK use, I have a pair of my own and they are the best.

You can get them in differing sizes to suit your hair style / type.

I found that searching the Internet for good deals was worthwhile as I managed to get the straighteners I wanted with a bag, styling products and hair clips for less than I could get them direct from GHD. (GDH = Good hair day).

I bought mine from SalonLines - recommend you try here.
GHD's are fanastic. They have been voted best by all magazines in the UK and come in 3 different sizes. They start from about 拢75 and are available from many websites and hairdressers. The HQHAIR website is where I got mine from and they were 拢80 I think...check it out for yourself. I strongly recommend them because every hairdresser I know has them and so do most of my friends !! Oh and you will need to protect your hair from the damage..buy the ';GHD Iron Oil'; Available from both webistes and is about 拢13, happy browsing !! x x x
