Which hair straightener ?

Which hair straightener will make my hair very very straight , besides a chi ?

Anything under $50 or so would be good , thanks !Which hair straightener ?
protouch!! definitely. it's on sale for 29.99-39.99$ at jcpenneys. i have the chi %26amp; my sister got the protouch. it is as good as the chi if not better!! definitely %26lt;3Which hair straightener ?
i have a remington tstudio tourmaline ceramic straightener that i purchased from target for about $36, and i love it!

it has 2.25 inch ceramic plates. the temperature setting goes from between 100-375 degrees (i usually don't set it higher than 140 degrees), and it heats up really quickly.

it leaves my hair soft, smooth, and silky!

i've tried the remington wet 2 straight slim and i have to say my tstudio is much better! the wet 2 straight felt like it was frying my hair and it just didn't meet the quality of the tstudio.

http://www.target.com/T-Studio-Tourmalin鈥?/a>

this is definitely a salon quality straigtener for a fraction of the price. you really do not need a chi, ghd, or sedu to get amazingly straight, soft, and silky hair.

so i would really recommend you try the remington tstudio.

(it comes with a 4 year warranty too)

=]
to tell you the truth the only thing that you want to make sure is that on your hair straightner is ceramic blades. i got mine at wal-mart its a conair for $20.00.

good luck %26amp; hope i helped!
You cant really find that good of a straightner for under $50. They make work good, but break really easily, or dont work good at all.

Just save your money up and buy a chi :) they're fantastic.
this iron looks awesome..my friend recently brought it and loves it..but its real expensive...like 100 dollars or more...

heres the videos to it if u haven't heard of it

http://kstyler.com/

http://kstyler.com/about_carmen.html

ok well i think u should buy a CHI! they arent 50 dollars but now just 80 dollars if u order online..and u get free shipping...one model of the chi is 60 dollars...so get that because its only 10 dollars higher then ur budget which isnt much!! i have a chi and luv it....GHD's are good too..but expensive...hmmm get the conair..its only 20 dollars..its this black n yellow iron..it works awesome..but has one problem..it breaks alot...i had to keep buying a new one again and again until i just brought another company iron....but the conair is awesome..some ppl dont have problems with it...its kinda heavy n bulky though...heres a pic(only 18 dollars)

http://www.amazon.com/Conair-CS19JCS-Ins鈥?/a>

u can try the conair infiniti..its my favorite after the chi n ghd....n its only 44 dollars..check it out! this is the 2 inch one...

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>

this is the same thing but one inch and omg its only 25 dollars at amazon.com (it was 50 dollars at the store when i brought it)

http://www.amazon.com/Conair-CS31-Infini鈥?/a>

so my advice is get the conair infiniti thats 25 dollars!! ur really saving money because other sites offer it for 50 dollars....n even stores have it for 40 dollars...it works beautiful...n gets soo hott...it took me 20 min to straighten my poofy curly/wavy hair....if u are not interested in these go to amazon.com and search up flat irons...soo many good ones come up...n they are cheap....also read the reviews to see what other people that own the product have to say about it..good luck!!!

My hair straightener?

I bought this straightener thats called Wet2Sraight. It works pretty good and im satified but what is your opinions of the straightener? if you have it, do u like it? why or why not? thanks! My hair straightener?
i love it i bought one like a year ago and it still works so well i love that it saves me time not having to completely blow drying it.

there is a contraversy saying that it will damage your hair but honesty i have used it for a year and i have softer nicer hair than all of my freinds and they use like ';the chi'; and my hair is just as straight but much softer so i give it a ten out of ten.

since we are on the topic of hair i must tell you that you should use tresseme shampoo and conditioner it is so good and never use garnier fructice it dries out your and gives you zitsMy hair straightener?
I have never used it. I have a straightenener called the Sedu. I did some research and it is suppose to be the best one out there. Personally I love it. It heats up really fast, i can adjust the heat and it works really well. I can straighten my hair even if it is wet. But mind you it was about $250. It was so worth it better than the piece of **** i had previously the chi. my mom dropped it and the plates broke and popped out. I have dropped my sedu so many times and its fine. you can get it at folica.com and they send you a free travel case.
it doesn't work for me at all. My hair is super thick and both fine and course meaning it damages easily and resists being straight. It take a very HOT iron to make my hair straight.

Chi Hair Straightener?

Does anyone own a chi hair straightener? because i just bought mine about 9 months ago.. and it costed 250$ and now when i plug it in the light doesnt come on and it wont even heat up!!! so i called them and they said i have to send it in and pay an additional 45 dollars to get it fixed! i personally yhink if i was going to spend 250$ on a hairstraightener it should last more than 9 months! has this happened to anyone else?Chi Hair Straightener?
Did you try hitting the reset button on the plug and the one in your wall? Sometime the GFCI button on the plug does it, sometimes the one in the wall does it...just try hitting the reset on both. Yea, $45 bucks is a rip off. But I found my Chi for $140...at Target. And yes, it IS a genuine Chi - you can call them and ask, which is what I did.Chi Hair Straightener?
Ive had mine for about a year now, no problems. You may have gotten a defective one. Sue their *** lol.
i have mine and this has happened before i love the chi though dont get me wrong but all you have to do is on the plug there is a button and it says reset that should do it! enjoy your chi i love mine.

:]
Make sure it's a genuine Chi. Target now carries chi straighteners but I heard that they're not the official kind of something and that's why these straighteners are breaking and stuff.
This hasn't happened to me, but I would get it fixed and if it happens again tell them you thoughts and feeling with this situation.

Best hair straightener/flat iron?

I am currently saving up to get a really good straightener but I want to get one until then. Anyone know of a good straightener I can get at walMart or Target? (under 40 dollars if possible) Oh and if you know of a good heat protectant for your hair??? thanks!!!

Additional Details

Is the wet2straight ceramic?Best hair straightener/flat iron?
Remember...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Walmart and target have cheap brands that dont heat up as hot as the good/ expensive ones. CHI and GHD are the best but about $100-$300.Best hair straightener/flat iron?
Well first off 40 dollars won't get you much for a hair straightener, that best ones are atleast $120. My first hair straightener was the wet2straight ceramic, and it was terrible. It frizzes and fries hair, and the wet tool doesn't work at all, my naturally silky wavy hair looked like a puffy mess, this is around 25-30 dollars and I would not recommend it at all. I really haven't used any straighteners under 40 dollars , but one of my friends has the revlon 1 inch ceramic straightener which is 50 dollars and it works considerably well. The straightener I am using now is a chi and it is definetly worth the investment, it works sooo well.
i recommend vssassoon, they are high quality and many dressers use this brand.they mainly have ceramic plates.if you looking for a cheaper one though id go for a GHD.. and also GHD heat protectants work great becuase they are non greasy and feel light on your hair.. you can find heat protectant at any hair salon

:)
The wet 2 straight is really, really bad. It burns and fries your hair, and is NOT as good as it says. The best is the CHI, but its pretty pricey, but its better to save up for a really good one then spend a bunch of money one seperate ones that arn't good.

So, save up and wait for a sale!!!

Hope you find a good one!
well i use remington. it's amazing. it's 25 dollars from walmart and target. i've used a chii before but i think the remington works better. try using the heat levels it says to but if it doesn't work then just go straight to the highest heat level.
u should use a straightens come and a flat earn i do that sometimes when i want it straighten good it be look en good ever-body can tell straightens
yes its ceramic with a non stick tefflon coating
I bought a Chi for $100 at Overstock.com - a good deal. No tax or shipping at the time. It was a 3/4 inch plate.

I've posted this several times and everytime it has been chosen as the best answer, don't worry about the prices, you are investing in a great flat iron that due to its technology will not damage your hair as much and will also give you excellent results, in addition, you are buying a flat iron that will last you for years to come, so the price you pay for it is not much of a factor when you look at it that way. Hope this helps.

1st of all I'm not gay, but I do like to take care of my hair and look good, if any women think that there is something wrong with that, by all means please let me know, I appreciate your honesty.

Do not settle for cheap brands, theres a difference between flat irons. You want the ones that have ceramic plates, the most popular is the CHI and even though they achieve wonderful results, they break down easily and thus ruin your $100 investment. Solia, FHI, and HAI are also good but work differently depending on hair type and are slightly cheaper.

The best flat iron however is the Sedu. It has ceramic plates and uses tourmaline which is a precious stone that gives off negative ions which are good for your hair. Check out Folica.com and see all the before and after pictures....there are about 10 pages of pictures on the 1 1/2'; Sedu...or you can go for the 1'; inch if you want more control.

However, there is always the GHD with the cheapest at $190....they are excellent but it just depends on if you are willing to spend that much, by the way GHD's are Englands best and most popular iron, and in a few years they will be America's as well.

Chi's break down too much, and if you by them online, their warranty will not be honored....the CHI Turbos are even worse!!!

SEDU is the greatest...if you want proof...go to foica.com and check out the pics of the users that have sent in in the reviews of the 1 1/2' SEDU....you can also go with the 1 inch one if you like...

So at $120 and a great life span....not only SEDU is the best hair straightener as far as results are concerned, it also the best deal....

Hope I've been a great help.

You helped soo much! Thanks a million!
CHI is the best, but it run no less than $100. Revlon is supposed to work good too though. I have heard that conairs are only good for very thin hair? not sure if that is true or not.
If you really want a good straightener then I suggest you get a CHI. It cost more then $50 but I'm telling you it really works. Buying a straightener for less then $50, I don't think you'll find a good one sorry, you'll probably find an okay one. What I suggest is you getting your hair permanetly relaxed (Japanese way) it cost lots of money, but it's worth it! You won't have to deal with straightening your hair. It won't really damage your hair as long as you take good care of it, and remember to keep moisture on your hair etc.
my hair was da same way, umm take a shower at night and DON'T BLOW DRY IT let it dry naturally and use a white revelon flat gold plated straightner, it's only 20.00 and i garentee ur hair will be still be shiny and healthy looking, but wen it's hot nothing will keep it from being frizzy, oh and after u straighten it take a dryer sheet and rub it down hour to hour, it helps keep it shiny and lessons down da frizz
Don't blow dye your hair every time after you wash it that will dye out your hair. For a straightener use either Revlon or CHI. To add shine to your hair get a bottle of CHI silk infusion it cost about $5 for a small bottle. After your done straightening your hair pour a little bit (should be big as a quarter)into the palm of your hand. Then work evenly though out your hair. It will add shine to your hair and make it look healthy.
It's called ';Gold n Hot'; you can get it at Sally Beauty Supply, it' about $15.00.
Try using a Anti-Frizz serum on your hair before you blow dry it. I use GHD's there about the best on the market.
REMINGTION - CERAMIC - ABOUT $20.00 - YOU CAN FIND IT AT TARGET - IT WONT BURN HAIR.
wal mart has an awsome straightener it is orange but the chi is the best but its way out of your price range!
I went to Sally's and got an ion straightener. Before I use it I spray my hair with this stuff called ';turn up the heat flat iron protection';. Beyond the Zone makes it which you also can get at Sally's. It helps with the damage and makes your hair shiny.
    ummmmm......a hot one????!!!!!

    Chi Hair Straightener?

I heard the Chi Hair Straightener is supposed to be reallly good? Does it work really well? My hair is a little wavy and I straighten it almost everyday...I've used Conair and Remington Wet to Straight Straighteners...I know the Chi is really expensive...is it worth it?Chi Hair Straightener?
chi is the best! it is expensive but you pay 4 what you get.Chi Hair Straightener?

    2. Wrong category.

GHD hair straightener. whats the deal?

now my sister wants a hair straightener and everyone keeps saying there the best but seriously we have an old one and ive found other brands are way better.what do you recommend. i think GHD is just thought to be the best because of advertising??GHD hair straightener. whats the deal?
GHD straighteners are usually used by professional hair dressers. You rarely ever go to super cuts and see them use it, but if you are looking to pay big bucks for a professional haircut, they are most likely using a major name brand like GHD. Behind all the research and design comes a tactical evolution in hair styling when it comes to GHD. Yes Farouk CHI is something we can all vouch for, but in comparison, the level of performance GHD puts out is by far the best in the market. I purchased mine some time ago from

http://www.Stophia.com for a good price and overall fast shipping. Be careful of fake GHD's out in the market like eBay and Amazon. The one I got was 100% genuine. Good luck!GHD hair straightener. whats the deal?
GHD straighteners have a lot of features that cheaper straighteners don't offer. From Sephora.com:

-Designed to curl, as well as straighten the hair.

-Ceramic-coated plates help seal the cuticle and create shine while locking in hair's natural moisture and preventing atmospheric moisture from re-penetrating hair.

-The iron emits a large proportion of infrared heat and produces negative ions, both of which are less damaging to the hair, reducing static and creating shine.

-Standard irons use PTC or copper-wound elements, which are less efficient at emitting infrared heat and negative ions and can dry out the hair.

-A 9-foot swivel cord prevents tangling and damage.

-Floating blades provide flexibility and smoothness when styling.

-Built-in integrated circuits regulate the temperature 5 times per second (indicated by a flashing LED) to ensure the temperature remains constant throughout the styling process.

-A built-in microprocessor embedded in one of the blades monitors and regulates the blade temperature 5 times per second.

-If the temperature exceeds 374掳F, the thermal fuse will blow, resulting in the iron switching off.

-The thermal fuse is a safety feature to prevent the iron from overheating.
It's the best quality, lasting, straightener. If you haven' t noticed, lot's of top salons use GHD straighteners. but i would just stick with a normal unpricey straightener to be honest. You're getting a straightener to straighten your hair right? So get a good, not overpriced one i suggest. You can learn to curl your hair with a normal straightener just like it did, i have one of the worsts and it still works out fine.
The GHD tends to keep the hair straighter for longer but most of the hair straighteners will do the same thing it just depends on how the hair is straightened.

    Just don't use sunbeam straighteners.

Which hair straightener should should i get? ?

i have just below shoulder length hair, Blonde. thinnish hair. and on a budget of about 拢20 but am saving up.

    all answers appreciated.

;]Which hair straightener should should i get? ?
I know you have a budget but id keep the saving up and invest in a good one, especially as you said you have thin hair, I live for my GHD it keeps my hair in great condition..

You could always resort to the old towel and clothes iron way but I'm not recommending it..

Good luck.. :)Which hair straightener should should i get? ?
CHI straighteners are really good, but quite pricey.

Solia is good too. Still a little pricey, but much less than CHI.

If you straighten your hair, you will want a good one and also heat protection spray. I suggest Tresemme.
I have no idea how much american money that is but...get a CHI !

    Temporary Hair Straightener?

I have really curly hair...really, really, poofy curly hair. (I'm black, Metis, and white.) I need to straighten it so I can cut it... Anyone know of any temporary hair straighteners that'll wash out?Temporary Hair Straightener?
use any straightner and some bio-silk anti-frizz serumTemporary Hair Straightener?
here's a thought.. probably not the healthiest but i've seen it done.. some friends of mine forgot their straightener when we drove to mexico so they used an iron.. a bit risky sure and my guess is it's not healthy for your hair but hey why not?? if you just need a temporary fix.
I use a Remington straightener...the one with the fabric plates so it won't damage the hair.

I am very happy with it!
you do get certain chemical products in local stores which are temporary, but i think not so good for the hair, why dont you use a straightening iron its temporary , stays till the next wash and by the way when you cut your hair, you get it wet with water so then y do you need to straighten it, i will be manageable when its wet, dont you think so?
No shampoo is going to straighten your hair.

I would buy the following (I have it and use it)

A remington Wet2Straight hair straightning iron. You can buy it at wal-mart for 30 bucks. It is the best. Your hair will feel like silk when you straighten your hair with it. Just put some anti-frizz serum in your hair while it is wet.

Your hair will stay straight until you wash your hair.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck
Just get a hair straightener, a flat iron... try a Revlon one, you can find them in wal mart for a little over $20.00, they work real well!

  • If ya have a perm and now ya don't want it, can ya use a hair straightener to get rid of it?

DO NOT USE STRAITNER. It will fry your hair. You should seek a trained cosmetologist unless you are confident you can do it on your own. You'll need to buy a perm. You will use the waving lotion as the straitner. You wash your hair as the directions say. towel dry then comb the waving lotion thru your hair. Keep combing it strait leaving the lotion on for the directed amount of time. Rinse and towel dry you hair again. then you will use the neutralizer just like you did the waving lotion. Combing the hair strait and leaving it on for the directed amount of time. Rinse and you can style your hair. Washing is also permitted if you want to get the stink out and you wont be worried about curls setting. Make sure you condition your hair well. Viola! Strait hair again! If ya have a perm and now ya don't want it, can ya use a hair straightener to get rid of it?
i heard if you put a relaxer in it will straightenIf ya have a perm and now ya don't want it, can ya use a hair straightener to get rid of it?
not a chemical hair straightener it would damage your hair too much. but you can use a regular straightner like the one you plug in
but it won't stay long...go for rebonding is a better way =)
yes u can but you need to wait about 3weeks or so so your hair has time to recover from the damage the perm has done. then make sure to deep condition at least once every two weeks for awhile because its going to be very dry
yes, but you will have to work at it and make sure you use some conditioner otherwise it will be frizzy as hell

    Revlon hair straightener?

has anyone used the revlon stylix hair straightener? it is white with one inch red plates. will it make my coarse african american hair silky and bouncy?Revlon hair straightener?
I've got a few African-American friends with curly hair who swear by my Chi. It's expensive (usually about $100 or $150) but if you consider that you're spending $20-$40 on less effective straighteners several times, it pays for itself. And I've had mine for about four years!Revlon hair straightener?
no i do not think it will. i would suggest bayliss. it is a brand that straighens like a charm! my cousin has very curly hair and it even works and makes her hair as straight and soft and cool as it could ever go.
no i doubt i would my friend right is spanish and she has african american hair and she uses this straightener named chi and now her hair is silky smooth!

    Sedu hair straightener?

does the sedu hair straightener straighten your hair pretty fast? and does it keep it straight through out the day?

    thanks.Sedu hair straightener?
yes, it straightens REALLY quickly and heats up just as fast. It keeps my hair very straight throughout the day unless its REALLY humid or its raining (because that would just be asking too much!).

I would highly recommend the Sedu. One tip though if you do get it. A lot of people complain that the cord breaks after a year or so. I have had mine over a year and a half and my cord is PERFECT. Don't wind the cord around the straightener, always let it fall naturally when storing it!

    Best of luck!♥Sedu hair straightener?
i got a sedu a few months ago and i love it

my hair is thick/curly/frizzy and makes my hair pin straight

with my old conair one it used to take me 2 hrs to straighten my hair but now i can do it in 45min and it will stay super straight until you wash it again (i wash my hair every 2-3 days and it stays super flat when i sleep on it)

    i would definitely recommend it!
    No...

I bought the Sedu and it was terrible. I liked at first because I use to have a Conair, and I was ';in love'; with the alleged ';best iron in the world.'; But don't believe the hype. It left my hair dry and crispy. Also, Folica owns the Sedu, so it is obvious that they hype it up.

The Chi works better...but it's cheaply made and it breaks easily. The plates wear off...and as it gets older, it doesn't heat up as well, and doesn't straighten as well...

My latest iron is a Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium...It works amazing. It leaves my hair straight, and KEEPS it straight. It's so wonderful. If you go on Folica.com...you will see it has better ratings that the Sedu (although less people have tried it)...yet it's not a ';top iron'; like the Sedu...Suspicious, huh?

It's...incredible, incredible...I live in Miami and it's really humid, and I have super curly hair. I'm telling you it works miracles. And I've straightened my hair in twenty minutes...the Chi took me forty minutes (when I would rush)...and the Sedu an hour...It's so great.
Yeah, it does work fast depending on thickness and length of your hair. You can read reviews about it on folica.com and there is tons of pictures of people's hair transformations. I used to use it but i wanted to switch it up a bit and i got the CHI turbo and that works amazing too.
Yes it's the best. It used to take 4 hours to straighten my hair - literally. And when I use the Sedu, it takes a little under an hour. And it kept my hair straight for 3 days.

    -- Jackie ♥
they're top of the line, it's going to work wonders. seriously.

GHD and CHI are also good brands too if you're looking for a selection.
its prob the best and also the chi :]

I got really long hair and it used to take me about 1 hour to straighten my hair now it takes 5 mins !

    its awsome

=] xRegarding Hair Straightener and Styler..?
Hey, I just bought the exact same straightener at the end of last year, and it really does work wonders! It's definitely worth the price, none of my past straighteners have ever had the same effect. My hair is so much softer and silkier, and once you REALLY get the hang of using it, it honestly feels like you've just been to the hairdressers! Its also really easy to make super awesome curls once you get the technique right. I suggest you try something like eBay to buy one, I saved $110 off mine by buying it off trademe but thats only avaliable for New Zealanders. Make sure you buy a new one, even the smallest scratches on second hand ones can effect the entire ceramic plate, and be sure to get a warranty with it. =]
yes i have ghds and b4 i couldn't find straighners tht wu straighten my hair and keep it straight bt ghds do they r awsome best straightners in the world! also best christmas present my sis eva got me

Remington- Wet to Straight. it was about 30 dollars, i got it at meijers. it works great. it's black.Hair Straightener?
be sure you get one with extra high heating if you have hard to straiten hair. if not non will work for you
I love my Revlon ceramic. It was $20.

They don't last forever, but they'll do a good job until then.

  • Hair Straightener?

I have really curly hair and I'm looking for a really good hair straightener but i don't know what types would be good. I have gone to the salon and gotten it straightened but it took so long that I would rather do it myself. Anyone know of any really good quality straighteners for a good price?Hair Straightener?
the CHI staightners are fabulous...yes they cost alot but they have a lifetime warranty (i believe). make sure to get a straightner that has wider heat plates...it will be easier to do your hair, it seems like that smaller (3/4';) ones do not get hot enough and i have to go over the hair so many times!Hair Straightener?
Its a little pricey, but I have used Chi for a couple of years and wouldnt trade it in for anything.

They also have great products that help not damage your hair.
use staraightening shampoo then i like bedhead products and make sure you have good straighteners like ghds !
hiya Ghds are the best ever i have got them, and they are brilliant i have had other cheaper straigheners but they do not work as good, my freind has really curly hair and they make her hair look fantasic they also dont damage your hair, i would also invest in shamoo and condtioner that make your hair sleek and straight and a good serum and protector that wouldnt weigh hair down. hope this helps x
    maxi glide
    walmart brand

    *quality* and *price*
def a chi, they are pretty amazing

they are a little pricy but tis worth while
why dont you get it chemicaly straightened?

people always go on about how it damages your hair, but think about it you wont be putting heat on you hair every day because it will already be straight :) it works really well, my friend has african/ american hair and she got it done and its lovely

if not get ghds or remmington teflon (they protect your hair and are cheaper but really good)

also lee stafford products are really good

    good luck x
Chi! those things are amazing. my friend has one and when i use it it takes about 10 minutes to perfectly straighten my super curly hair. they are somewhat pricey though.
I have really wavy hair and use John Frieda straightening serum. It's only $12, and the results are awesome. No more frying my hair with a straightener!
The best straighteners you can get are GHD's, they are expensive(can be up to 拢100) but they are the best.

    Hair Straightener?

I hv purchased a Remington Straightener with a warranty card but no method how to use it. It also writes on the cover 'Wet2Straight'. What does this mean? As far as I know we must iron our dry hair not even damp hair. Can anyone help and say what is the right method to use this tool and I can keep my hair from breaking or damage.Hair Straightener?
for the wet2straight iron, your hair must be wet...my sister has one and it says you can use it dry, but it doesn't really work that well unless your hair is really wet

addition: you can find the use and care guide here: http://www.remington-products.com/manual鈥?/a>Hair Straightener?
You can take a shower or not take a shower that day, when you use it, and if you do take a shower: Get out of shower, Dry hair, plug in straightener and let it warm up for about 10-15 mins, mine takes 5, when it is warn enough you take a clump of hair and place in in-between the straightener, close the straightener towards the top of your head, and pull down towards the bottom of your hair; You should do this on all you hair. It will flatten and thin your hair.
First of all wettodry means you can flat iron your hair when it is damp or mostly wet, but i would NOT recommend this. Everytime I do it it makes my hair frizzy sooooo bad! I would do it when it is dry. Watch this....I hope it helps.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuAOo6aWS鈥?/a>
if it says wet2straight that means it probably works best when you dry your hair wet it probably has a mist capsal in it so it don't fry your hair but if you don't like it take it back and use the method that always works an iron and a towel. easy and simple

    Hair straightener question?

I am thinking of getting a new hair straightener for christmas. I was thinking of getting the red conair infiniti straightener. does anyone have it, and if so, how do you like it?Hair straightener question?
thats exactly what i'm getting for christmas i've tried it.. and i think you would like it..Hair straightener question?
    http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh鈥?/a>

this website has the top hairstraighteners

I own a lot of hair products and I find conair is good for about 6 months and then it is total crap

I would spend the extr money and buy a straightener that will last me a long time
if you have thin and easy to straighten hair and conair works good for you then go ahead. but conair does not use all ceramic like the more expensive brands like Amika. sometimes conair damages your hair and if you have thick hair like me they don't work well
Conair isn't a very good brand. Go big or go home.
Walmart Super Center's sell them. I love mine
i love all conair straightners! trust me they are good products

Whats the best make of hair straightener ?

one friend suggested using ghdWhats the best make of hair straightener ?
I would advise anyone to buy GHD hair straightners - they will be the best investment you'll ever make!Whats the best make of hair straightener ?
Remington's. i have the silver nano plated ones, they are great, my sister who has GHD's comments that these are better than hers all the time, everyone i know who's used them has bought a pair for themselves.
ghd by farrrr! my hair used to be so thick, bushy, messy, tuggy, etc. but since i got my ghds for my birthday my hair is so much nicer and more managable. i love it (:

    hope this helps (:
Your friend is right- GHDs are excellent! I've had mine for 2 years and they're still going strong. Plus all the hairdressers use them so they must be good! You can use them to curl hair as well :)
Got to be the faithful GHD's. I have naturally curly hair and these are the only ones I can go outside when it is damp and the hair stays straight.

    :)
Use the Ultra Chi, it uses ions and the ceramic plates glide over hair. It costs around $130.

    :]
yes a ghd is good but a bit expensive before i got the ghd i used remington straighteners they were great no matter what price you paid for it x
remington if you dont have thick hair but i have babiliss and it works wonerfull it stay dead striaght all day !
GHD's but there is a new make called qiv si gorgeous. They are amazing straightners and are pretty to they come in pink or black.
all the girls i know only use GHDs, they say they have bought others but they dont compare
    remington
    GHDs (:

They actualy make my hair STAY straight

    most dont.

they rock my world tbh lol
GHD's are so much better then

    the Chi. Without a doubt.
your friend is right it, has to be GHD, if she's a real good friend I'm sure she would buy them for you...ha ha

    Hair straightener for guys?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

i rekn that guys who straighten their hair is perfectly normal and can look pretti hot lol i recommend using remington they are an awsusm make and sumtimes the most expensive straighteners are the good ones... u can also get straightners for men so try lookin on ebay or go to a hair salon/shop and enquire about it but i supose saving al the time straightening ur hair everyday u can get it permantly straightened this lasts up to weeks and months hope i helped!
Chi is the best, hands down.

They are a little pricey but they don't damage your hair as much and your hair will be straight even in hot humid weather.
dont staighten your hair it'll look bad pick a new hobby like surfing make your hair a touch curly and medium length the chicks'll luv ya.
i dont think you should go all out on a straightener and purchase a GHD etc.

Maybe just a slim remington straightener will do?

Its best to find a straightener with an ADJUSTABLE temperature so that you wont burn your hair too much. You can lower the temperature to a mild heat setting.

GHD does not provide an adjustable temperature, so it can damage your hair if it's fine.
I use a Chi, but I have long hair.

For a guy with short hair I would suggest not spending so much, and just going to buy a cheapo one from target. I mean come on, it's all about low maintenance for men. Most girls don't want their men spending more time doing their hair than them.
Well i got a new hair straightner for christmas and its been really good.

My hair hasnt been damaged and i love it,

Its a Remington micro diamond, and yea its good.

    Good luckk. (:
Sedu works great for my THICK, FRIZZY hair. it is the only iron that let my hair stay straight for days even in high humidity (new york city).
you have to get one that is 100% ceramic, otherwise it will just burn the hair with the metal. you can also use iron shield sprays, which protect your hair and make it smell really good too.
    go to walgreens.

    pick up that $14.99 one..

    its called vidal sasson..

lol i used it, and it straigtend my hair fine.

i dont use it anymore though.

just cause my hair isnt as curly when i dont straighten it.

    Hair straightener bag?

Where can I find one of those protective sleeve/bags to put your hair straightener in when you're done using it? They make them so that you can slip your straightener in the sleeve you so you can put it in your bag while it's still warm, and it won't burn anything.Hair straightener bag?
Check on Ebay, they may have them. I have one for my personal use and one I use in salon and when we travel. I love it. It is a CHI Bag, and you might be able to get one for like 10 bucks!

If not e-bay check the local beauty supply store.

solia! i have one its amazing
Infra shine all the way. it works soo goood
CHI!!!! my (soon to be) step sis has one. it is awesome!!

I use GHD's and personally think they're great!

    try the site- http://www.ghdhair.com/
Are you looking for flat iron hair striaghteners? If so I would suggest HAI convertable... I have curly hair and that flat iron works great and it's ceramic which doesn't dry out your hair as much as the other irons. From the brands you listed I would choose Chi. But HAI is the one I personally use :)
chi is awesome, so is babyliss i think its called. Its sop worth it to spend more.
my friend has the chi and it burned out within a year so maybe try the sedu. Also check online hair stores for reviews on the product. hope this helps :)

    Hair straightener help?

i currently own a gold 'n hot ceramic flat iron and i have had it for about four years and i like it a lot however the iron plate is burning off and is really killing my hair more than usual lol. i am very interested in getting a chi straightener, i have color treated hair, and it is pretty long and not thin but not thick its like inbetween. what would be a good chi for me? thanks in advanced !Hair straightener help?
Oh great choice! I have a chi and I love it!! I have a basic chi (I don't think that they have a specific kind, just different colors!) Also good products that you can use to keep your healthy is redken smooth down before you straighten and then the chi silk infusion after. It takes a while to get used to it at first but it is absolutely great!Hair straightener help?
Any chi iron would be great. It just matters in the size.

What kind of hair do you have?

    Do you have thick hair?

Do you have really frizzy curly hair?

--Go with the chi's that are wider in width.

    Do you have thin hair?

    Do you have wavy hair?

Do you want to curl your hair with the flat iron?

-Go with a skinner width chi. You can actually curl your hair with it.

Do not buy from ebay, a lot of scammers sell fake generic chi flat irons which will severely damage your hair.

ALSO buy a leave in serum which you apply right after you shower or bath to damp hair which will lessen the effects heat does to your hair.
    http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/beauty/h鈥?/a>

I used to go through straighteners after straighteners!

    This one is amazing.

    Straightens so fast.

Its a bit pricey, but well worth it.

You wont buy another one after this one.

    And plus,

If you know anyone that works at a salon,

They can prolly get it for you ALOT cheaper.

    Thats how I got mine.

Salons can get everything for the price its made at,

Not the out rageous price stores sell things for.

    Either way,

I'd deffinetly try to invest in it.
actually the best straighteners are amika they are awesome, try going on

and watch the videos, then purchase

    GLAD TO HELP :)
i think a chi hair straightener would be very good..

    Hair straightener?

I want to buy a nice hair straightener. I've had two crappy conair ones from target but they've both broke and I'm willing to make a good investment on one that works well, heats up fast, and doesn't damage my hair. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, why does plate size matter? What is the difference between thin straighteners and wide ones?Hair straightener?
    GET A GHD

    i swear by it

i was in ur situation went through so many crappy ones wasting money, also i have fine hair which frizzed when i straightened it if moisture went near it and after straighteneing it my hair was so flat and stuck to my head =(

i finally got a ghd, ammmmazing swear, it heats up in 7 seconds it doesn't burn ur hair and it can be used to curl =) =)

and u can put body in ur hair with it, u can flick ur hair, or u can have it DEAD straight

and when it rains if i have straightened it with the ghd it doesn't go frizzy and with my old straighteners i would straighten it and then wake up the next day it would be wavy again.. GHD straightening lasts for no joke like almost a week which is better for ur hair then doing it everyday

the only thing is it cost bout 300 but i think worth every single dollarHair straightener?
i do not know much about hair but i use the true ceramic pro. it is awesome. it heats up supper fast and is a thin.
corioliss, ceramic-wont damge ur hair, and straightens it like silk. 120 dollars.
I have long, slightly wavy, frizzy hair. I recently started straightening it. I bought a straightener by Revlon at wal-mart for $19.00. It has a dial for different heat settings, an on/off switch and an on indicator light. It heats up fast and stays heated. The plates are 2 inches wide. With a wider plate you can straighten a larger section of hair at a time. This saves time! I've been using mine for a month now and I love it. It makes my hair straight, smooth, soft and silky. I hope this helps.
My girlfriend obsesses over her CHI. She has the 1 inch and thinks it is the best.
I like Revlons ceramic hair straightener.. It heats up fast and does a good job smoothing and straightening out hair. I think a wider straightener can straighten more hair at once, as opposed to a thin straightener

    Ghd hair straightener?

does anyone know the difference between the ghd mk4 and the ghd kiss limited edition in terms of the actual straightener?Ghd hair straightener?
    Its straighter?????

    MUAHAHAHAHAGhd hair straightener?
im pretty sure one is a newer model.
t5he other one use sort of ammonia like compound in straightening your hair and the other one use the newer chemical propohydrospinol or something, don't know really which is better but probably the newer one, coz i hear that there are so many complaint in the older ammonia compound.
heard other brands like he new steam VS Sassoon Goddess was having a look too....
one is a newer model...look at the features..there shouldn't be much of a difference

they cost me 拢60 at the time but i bought them like a year ago, so they'll be much cheaper now, and hey .. if there still working good as ever a year later then they must be good :)

ive tried out lots of different straighteners, and these were the best by far.

if your thinking of buying them then i say go for it !!

    hope i helped :)

    xBabyBlyss hair straightener?
babybliss straighteners are good. i like them, plus they are cheap yet professional. =D, anyways i have a jilbere de paris which is also carried at sally beauty supply and i love it =) i use it on my friend too and it tames her frizzies. its black and its for about 40$
GHD's Are The Only Straightners I Would Use Although Babyliss Are Very Good,

    1. They Heat Quickly

    2. They Straighten Well

    3. They Look Great

I Think You Should Get Them
    i have a Conair wet-2-straight

    and it works great.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etcGood hair straightener?
ghd is da best strightner or u can use oil in your hair and divid it into alot of small puns and leave it over nite it also works
I had very curly hair and I finally had my hair straightened with the Japanese Thermal Reconditioning System. It was the best thing I ever did. I hated all the chemicals I had to use to keep it curly and not frizzy and I hated all the work to straighten my hair with a flat iron. My hair is silky and straight. It lasts up to 8 months so there is no work to it. So the monies you are waisting in products you might as well invest in this process. Trust me it's not like the chemicals you have been using. I have a friend that is African American and her hair was REALLY curly and now she loves her hair. It silky and straight. go to http://www.thermalreconditioning.com/pic鈥?/a> to see samples of people's hair. Also just type in Thermal Reconditioning in google and you will see tons of information.
Chi is the best you can get.

    nothing can compare.
A CHI IRON IT IS THE BEST
i absolutely love my CHI strightner... for more power try CHI turbo
My bro's ex had this same problem.

I tried SEVERAL times to straighten her hair with my straightners but they did very little good and dried her hair more. Perming your hair is extremely expensive to keep up with. We were wondering through the mall and one of those little carts had straightners and I recommended she let the guy try to do her hair because thats the real test.

    IT WORKED GREAT!

She bought 6 and I bought 2 (better to stock up incase they discontinue making them like everything i find that I like does)

Another thing, contact a upper scale salon that specializes in black hair types they will know more so how to handle your hair safely than anyone else. But expect them to suggest a super expensive straightner but you'll get what you pay for!

    GOOD LUCK!
GHD's but if u dont want to pay as much for them try andrew collinge straighteners. I've tried both and was pleased with the results for both =] x

    From CHI

    Price: $87.50

    Product Description

Chi Original 1'; Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Model GF-1001 The CHI can be considered

one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today. The CHI's ergonomic

design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist.

The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal

in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles

help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up. Featuring an

extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside

the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are

recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10

seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)

whatever you do, don't get the conair. Conair works for the devil of split ends. The heat is too low, it damages your hair and ruins it.
the sharper image one is okay i guess, DONT GET CONAIR!!! its like the mac daddy of split ends. my sister is a hairstylist and she uses a proffesional one called corioliss.

its about 100 dollars but its totally worth it.

whatever you choose to buy, dont forget to use heat protective spray!!!

    Best hair straightener?

What's the best hair straightener? Which one makes your hair shiny and pin straight?Best hair straightener?
Chi hair straighteners work very well. But the most important thing to get your hair looking beautiful and straight is using a good conditioner (it will make your hair shiny and less frizzy) and maybe a heat protecting serum you can put on your hair before you straighten it.

So yeah, Chi straighteners work well if you have bangs get a narrower size (using a wide size on bangs make them hard to keep in place after wards) but if you don't have bangs get a wide one.

    I hope I helped!Best hair straightener?
i would defenetly say chi's are the best. if you are looking for a pin striaght, shiny style. i would definetly recomend a chi! ! they come in really cute prints, such as chi-tah (thats what i have and i love it ! it also heats up very quickly and i have never gotten burnt from it! it is seriously amazing! they are kind of expensive but they are worth it in the end becasue they work so well and last forever! good luck!
Chi or the T3 from Sephora. Either one of them are amazing and the T3 you can get in different colors! (they're all expensive though) Depending on your hair type too. if you have extremely curly hair, get the T3, but if you have only wavy hair, get the Chi. (Chi is really good for either one, but only get the T3 if you have really curly hair)
i know most ppl are going to say the chi

but there is 1 that works better called

termaline 500 ((or something along those lines))

it actually makes ur have silky and smooth and it works better then the chi ((for me)) i have no idea how much it cost but its worth the money.

Pretty much any kind as long as it's plates are ceramic. I have the maxi glide and it works great, it has a steam burst button which prevents it from tangling and it makes it so shiny.
Every time I get a CHI. It always breaks after a while. I have the con air infinity and it works very well. So far. I have only had it for like a month... but it only works well depending on the amount of waves you have. But I still recommend CHI.
Most people always recommend the GHD.

No matter what straightener you use though, if your using it everyday your hair is bound to dry out.

But i have it and most salons now use the ghd.

    very recommendable.

colorful seasons her styler. it wont burn a thing! not even cotton balls. it leaves your hair shiney. i have really wavy hair and even after i sleep then my hair is still straight! i love it. good luck! =]

    xoxox
i have a chi one.....and i think it works the best.....i dont know where u live but if u live near a sallys beauty supply store...go there they have every type and brand of hair starighteners u can possibly think of!
    def a chi

    they are expensive but

they dont burn your hair like a normal straightner would

and it makes your hair healthy and straight!
I would say the CHI it may be a little overpriced at some places, but it works fast and great!
CHI's are amazing. You will get the best results with them. They are pricey though. :)
jilbere de paris titanium tools or remington t studio tourmaline ceramic iron

How to verify a good hair straightener? and which brand is good?

I have a Nicki Clarke straightener and its really good - before this I had a well known make and it was expensive but never got my hair as sleek as the NC one I have now which wasnt half the price given who the name is as well. How to verify a good hair straightener? and which brand is good?
GHD - by far the best and worth every penny. heats up in no time and doesn't damage hair - just make sure you put a hair protector product in your hair first. How to verify a good hair straightener? and which brand is good?
Are you talking Chemical or flat iron?

I have several flat irons. My hair is short, so I use the smaller Conair one. I also have a wet/dry that is very good.

I have heard that some of the irons will take the color out of your hair if you use a color....

Try searching for reviews on the one that you like.

You could also try a 'relaxer' that will help get your hair straighter and won't damage it. I am Caucasian, but have used the Natural-Laxer Plus (NO CHEMICALS) and it works good. Makes your hair soft and is also a great facial. It is a herb mixture with sahara sand.. Treasured Locks sells it...
CHI is probably the best on the market but far from cheap. A friend of mine paid $175 for one at a hairshow and that was wholesale.

You definetely only want a ceramic straightener, they work better and won't damage the hair as bad as a cheap Wal-Mart one.

When I straigten a clientes hair I like the thinner ones (approx. 1';) over the large heavier ones, they are much easier to handle and can get it done in 1/2 the time.

Don't forget to use a good straigtening product when using a straightenen. SLEEK by Matrix is awesome!!!!!

Check Ebay for a Straightener, they have them at great deals because I've seen them.

    GOOD LUCK!!

    Hair straightener question?

Are the hair straighteners like CHI and the GHD and the TIATANIUM OZON, really that much better then the ones you can get at wal-mart?Hair straightener question?
I think the one at walmart are betterHair straightener question?
I think the issue is that cheaper ones don't have even heat/ or aren't hot enough. GHD's etc are very effective because you don't have to straighten the same section over and over again, so technically it wont do your hair as much damage.
i wanna say they streighten better, though i do believe someone told me their not too good for your hair [[i mean, none are, but especially these]]

i have like a sixty dollar wal-mart one and i hate it :[ bad decision.
absolutely. they are safer for your hair. also, buy a protectant spray/gel for your hair before you straighten it. i suggest pureology hydrate shinemax.
CHI or GHD is the always the best choice.
I have tried alot of hair straighteners, but the one I recently bought is awesome. I paid $100.00 for it %26amp; it has the steam. It's the Infiniti Conair.
Without a doubt. Amazingly so! Mine is FHI. It completely changed my world when I got it! Expensive but completely worth it.
    Duh........

I use the CHI its awesome

    Cant live without it!!
yea they straighten better and faster
yes because they keep your hair straighter for longer and they dont give you split ends

Hair straightener question: 10 points best answer!?

I have really thick curly hair but I need a straightener badly...will they work on my hair? Will one for just 10 dollars work? Any advice on that? Thanks!Hair straightener question: 10 points best answer!?
i have really thick curly hair to and i have the best straightener, if you want it to work well you will have to pay a bit more for it.

you have to get a ceramic one tho. they are the only ones that work for thick hair.

hope this helps %26lt;3Hair straightener question: 10 points best answer!?
I use a straightener with ceramic plates that also works with ions. I've used others before, but my curls are quite persistent, and cheaper straighteners didn't work for me. My hair was always frizzy and looked matte.

Not so with this one. The ion-technology is absolutely worth the extra buck, my hair is less frizzy, looks shiny and stays straight for a longer time. It also seems like it takes less time to get my hair straight. Did cost me about 40 CAD.

Also make sure you always use a heat protection product.

    Cheers
If you don't really know what you're doing, kits at home will cause more harm than good. The first time I straightened my hair at home (and mine is very coarse and thick curly), it didn't turn out straight. It was wavy-ish but really uneven.

After that fiasco, I kinda got better at it. I would suggest watch a video of how it's done, and get a good flat iron to get the best results. Also, cheap straighteners work, but you'd be better off buying a $20-30 box from Sally's. It says Japanese hair straightening on it.

I did finally ended up getting the Japanese hair straightening.
it depends how high the heat goes up. if you're using a 10 dollar straightener you're probably going to have to do it really slow since the heat will be low. if you were using the chi it wouldn't take that long because it gets hot in like 10 seconds. if you ever think about getting an expensive long lasting one then i suggest you get the chi turbo. remember to use biosilk or chi hair products if you want shine in your hair or to protect damage from happening to you hair.
    No.

A list of reasons cheap straightners are bad.

    1. They do not heat up enough.

    2. They make your hair frizz.

    3. You can tell if people use them as there hair goes funny and flicky.

    4. it will take you ages.

    5. it will unstraighten quickly.

    buy a GHD
HELL NO.... Just so you know I have the thickest curliest hair ever and I spent 120.00 dollars on a chi and it was the best thing I have ever done.... The wet to dry Chi is our best friend and cut my straighting time from 3hours to about 45 minutes to get it truly straight.... trust me spend the extra for the good one..
it will work if you have 2 hours to straighten it, maybe even longer. I have a GHD and it works so well. I have thick curly hair and it is so amazing, it does really nice curls as well. lol

not that you would need it. but they are expensive.. sooo
I just bought a flat iron that uses steam I have alot of curly hair..www.maxiusbeauty.com it's not cheap but I don't have to put product in my hair and it works. I have serum all kinds of blow dryers and junk under my sink..Not anymore it's the best!
Ya it'll work but don't buy a 10 dollar one. Get a CHI, it's like 100 dollars but WELL worth it. 10 dollar one won't work and it'll fry your hair.
    one for ten dollars??

    probably not

i have thick hair and mine cost 40 and works great!
Cheap straighteners are never a good idea... they dry out your hair sooooo much. Trust me, I know from experience.

Is elite chi a good hair straightener??

Its realy good, all ceramics, Chi especialy, are.Is elite chi a good hair straightener??
yes. both my sis and I use Chi ceramic hair straightener and it doesnt do harm on the hair since it is ceramic although a bit pricey it it well worth your moneyIs elite chi a good hair straightener??
ANY CERAMIC HAIR STR8NER IS GOOD.CHI IS A PROFESSIONAL BRAND AND COST MORE MONEY THAN AN OFF BRAND ONE. AS LONG AS IT IS CERAMIC AND HAS A DIAL TO ADJUST IT WOULD BE JUST AS GOOD.
I have a regular chi and it works very well.
    good hair straightener yes.

    good for your hair. no.

    Hair straightener?

Whats a gel or cream that will make your hair straight? Without having to blow dry as your brushing?Hair straightener?
nothing i've ever tried that didn't make it disgustingly oily and limp. Blow dryer or heated straightener or a combination of the two on a bad day is all that works.Hair straightener?
    try an iron
u should try the avon sleek and straight serum or salon straight shampoo it works
Hair cream cannot make your hair straight--no matter what kind you buy. Believe me, I've tried them. And I only have mildly wavy hair. If you want straight hair, the easiest way is to buy a hair straightener. Hope it goes well for you ^.^

well i got mine off folica.com, and i had trouble deciding between these two. they're both high quality, but you hear more people buy the chi, but i chose solia because theres another year warranty. so i'd choose the soliaHair straightener help! solia or Chi?? whats your pick?
there is this hair product that is called Suddenly Straight.

TO use: once out of the shower towel dry your head. after that distribute it evenly throughout the hair. You can either use a straightener or a blow dryer to straighten it. I suggest using the CHI straightening iron when hair is dried. also it was voted best kiss by Cosmo Girl, so that means a lot of people like it and irts really good.

Flat Iron or Hot Comb Hair Straightener?

Okay, im an African American and right now im using a hot comb and it works great, but i was wondering if a flat iron works better? My hair is thick but pretty straight for an all natural no relaxer african american. Which works better for african american hair and why, which one do you use, does either straightener help hair actually move and make it more managable? Thank You :]Flat Iron or Hot Comb Hair Straightener?
Stick with hot combing if is working good becausse flat ironing can some major damage to your hair I use the CHI ceramic iron which works good but you have 2 have a good heat protectant on your hairFlat Iron or Hot Comb Hair Straightener?
I say stay with the hot comb personally or a marcel flat iron. I truly don't suggest a flat Iron unless it is a true ceramic. Otherwise most flat irons don't supply enough heat to flatten without ridges near the scalp.
hot combs are alright as long as you dont mind the burn marks that come with it flat irons work so much better without the burn marks i know
