They are really self explanitory

You don't need much unless you want hairspray

You get a section of hair and flat iron it slowly to ensure it to be straight

And I would ask my mum but it depends on their personalityHair straightener for xmas NEED HELP!?
Why do you want to straighten your hair? I personally don't like the look of guys who ';try to hard';/manscape/dye and or straighten their hair. So I'm sure your hair looks fine as it is, and if not, just cut it.

Anyways, just tell your parents that you want to try a new look and that you want a straightener...I'm sure it won't be too hard if you just tell them bluntly what you want or why. But idk, your parents might be different than mine. I don't know your parents, but I'm sure you can come up with a way on your own.

Also, ask for a Hai hair straightener. I got mine for exactly $100 (which is pretty decent since it's high quality).

The Hai hair straightener has several adjustable temperature settings. I recommend never straightening your hair with a temperature over 180 degrees (Bumble and Bumble hair experts recommended this as one of their top hair straightening tips). Also, to minimize damage and set your hairstyle, spray your hair with a heat protectant spray. I use a heat protectant spray by Tresseme (its in a black bottle and has a red nozzle).

When actually straightening your hair, if you want to do a good, thorough job, you need to straighten in sections. So pin up the first half of your hair and straighten the bottom half first, then clip that away (with a big claw hair clip, not a pin or barrette) and straighten the top layer.

To prep, make sure that your hair is brushed and that all tangles are removed, then pin it in sections.

To straighten your hair, pick up a one-inch chunk of hair, spritz the entire length at a distance with the protectant spray (don't spray more than twice, as you don't want to soak the piece of hair). Run the piece through your hair straightener from the root, to the tip in a continuous motion/speed without squeezing too hard. A little tip: to avoid getting an annoying bump from your hair straightener at the root of your hair, don't press too hard on your hair straightener when you start at the root). Then, continue with pieces of the rest of your hair until it's all straightened.

You can then flip your hair over, mess it up a little, flip it back over and style with your fingers, not a brush.
Just tell your parents that it's the style and you need a straightener.

Get a CHI- mine cost about $130 but I've had it for THREE YEARS and my hair is naturally VERY CURLY.

You may want to get some type of heat protectant spray just so it doesn't fry your hair.

As for how to straighten, pull half of it up (with a clip, ponytail holder, etc.) and put the straightener at your roots and pull down. Once you get the bottom done, then take the top down and repeat the process. It's very simple once you get the hang of it.
