Best hair straightener? Sedu or Chi?

hi, I want to get a nice hair straightener, and I don't know whether to get a sedu or chi, because I've heard different people say different things about both. I have thick, wavy hair, and I want to straighten it maximum 3x per week (more like 2). Can someone please give me the pros and cons of both, and which one is better. I know that I'm asking for a lot, but I really don't want to make a mistake! Thanks!Best hair straightener? Sedu or Chi?
I have both the CHI (original) and the Sedu (revolution 2009 model).

Lets start with CHI.

Pros:

Straightens hair fast

Is good for curling

12 month warranty

Cons:

Makes hair smell like burnt (even with heat protector)

Very damaging since no heat control

Plates are only ceramic coated, no tourmaline

Breaks easily (they all have the same wiring problem, I went through 3 of them in 2 months)

Plates dont meet properly leading to snagging and pulling

All in all, the chi was the best 7 years ago. Now there are many irons with way better technology that work much better than chi.

Sedu revolution

Pros:

Ceramic Tourmaline, floating plates

Heat control

Straightens very fast

Leaves beautiful shine

Glides through the hair very smooth

Hair feels moisturized and healthy

easy to get curls waves and body, or can give a sleek look, very versatile and comes with dvd to show you how

2 year warranty

comes with heat proof pouch too

Cons:

This iron is a little harder to curl with than other irons, but its doable, just takes more time

I really like the Sedu Revolution. Compared to most other irons, its a great tool. Sedu is definitely better than chi.

Other irons that I like on par with Sedu revolution that you may want to look into are the Solia, the FHI Platform and the H2Pro 300 SE.

I have a ghd, it works really well, but it is very damaging to my hair and has a lack of features for the price.Best hair straightener? Sedu or Chi?
They're both awesome, but really expensive. Since they're salon-quality you're going to be paying a lot, but in exchange- good quality. I know they both heat up fast and work well. When I got my hair done, they used a Chi and it heated up very fast and worked well when they curled my hair with it.

My hair straightener is a Coriolis, and it works well.

My suggestions are: make sure whichever you get has ceramic plates, so they won't cause as much damage. Also, get a heat protectant gel since those types of straighteners use pretty high temperatures.

Good luck, I think you can basically go with either.
Chi is way better. I have long thick wavy hair and i flatten it like 3 or 4 times a week and its not damaged.

Make sure u get the pre flattening gell that goes withit because it adds hydration to your hair.

my friend has a sedu annd i was trying to flatten my hair with it and my poor hair was like deep fryed. sedu doesnt have the gell like stuff that goes with a chi.

chi is alll around beta
neither.

I use this straightner

and it works AMAZINGLY! I say its better than a chi which i had.

this nana straughtner uses steam so give your hair a soft shiny look and dont burn your hair or cause damage. Plus it is $20 cheaper.

You can Purchase it At Your Local

Rite Aid

Target

Walgreens

:]
Get the chi. My sister has a sedu and it recently broke. Plus, my chi heats up in like 2 seconds no joke. Also, you can curl your hair with the chi! I also have thick wavy hair and itkeeps my hair straight for the whole day.
honestly, i think neither is good. the best one ive seen that actually works is the instyler. it works on the dryest roughest hair and turns it silky smooth! You should try it!
buy a ghd, it is the best.

%26amp; waaaay better than both of them.

it doesn't damage your hair and it works well with any type of hair :)
