I say invest in a MaxiGlide. It's a bit expensive (about $80 for one), but worth the money. It's durable, lasts a while, and works like a charm! It uses steam instead of just heat so it doesn't fry your hair and it straightens like magic.

Sedu and Solia are the two best straighterners for the money. You can get them from Folica.com for about 100 dollars each. The CHI's are far from the best, even though many people seem to think they are good.
if you really want straight hair for a while maybe you should consider to perm it straight. sure its a little damaging, but you wouldnt have to straighten everyday, so it saves you time too. and its just a perm, you will have curly hair back so if you dont like the perm, your hair will grow out of it. its just something to consider. if you dont want to perm it then, yes, you should buy another CHI, they are good straightners.
Chi is the best. Try looking on ebay for one.
you should go to Ulta they usually have really good straighteners on sale like the Helen of Troy it was $110 and I got it for $50, it worked for me and I have the same kind of hair.
