CHI definetly. My hair stylist used it on me and it did great and she said it costs a lot, but it's worth the money cuz the style lasts!Whats the best hair straightener ....???? :(?
chi and solia and all those expensive straighteners break. i've had about a dozen friends who have had problems with them. i got the conair infinity and it's been working wonders on my hair for a year now. it's not like other conair products that are cheap. this one is 100% ceramic just like the chi but it's only $40 at bed bath and beyond. it minimizes damage because it's ceramic will most straighteners that are cheap are half plastic.
These have been marked as top of the line flat irons:

Sedu, Solia

Above average ones are:

Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell

Conairs are below average and so are vidal sasoon so dont get those.

If your itght for cash try a Andis from wal-mart

if you can afford those good ones mentioned at the top they can be sold safely at:

chi is a very good brand and at certain places they are cheaper than others but in addition to the flat iron you get the problem mite not be your flat iron because sometimes when i flat iron my then go outside then go back inside since my body temperature needs to change or whatever my hair does the same thing but at the ends there might be a product for that but im not sure i havent found one yet hope this helps
Here is a link on reviews of Chi irons for you I thought might be helpful: http://www.epinions.com/reviews/Chi_Flat/a>

They are great hair straighteners, but you decide if you want to pay the high price or not, if you use it pretty much every day, I say get one, you wont regret it.
i have the GVP and its amazing. id say get the chi, but only if its worth it. dry drying it and applying a quality straightening cream/balm before you dry.. hope it helps!
NOT CHI! chi breaks easily. See:

definatley a CHI
A CHI really would be best. They are pricy but are certainly worth the investment.
Sedu.
