and it doesn't just claim to be better than CHI, it is. I should know, I have a head full of blonde curls and a FHI hairstraightner. After half an hour, I have pin straight hair.
I bought the Paul Mitchell Smoothing Iron and I love it! It's kind of pricey, about $180, but it's worth it.

i have a chi and it works well....the $200 straightner you are talking about might be a ghd...and i have heard that those are really good! the ghd straightner uses a grid technique instead of having heat all over like a chi which helps keep hair from burning and it keeps it shiny!
G.H.D always in england there 拢100 or less thats cheap but i did get mine tho for 拢119
chi its pretty expensive but it works so well
