CHI's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.
To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.
For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.
I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.
It reaches 410 degrees, with tempature control if you would like a lower tempature. CHI does not have tempature control. That means if the set tempature is too high for your hair, it can fry.
Celebrities have nice hair, and they don't use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?
Never use on wet hair.
Also, on Folica.com, people can post reviews on products after they have tried them. Here are they stats on CHI:
72 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of out of 1257 total reviews.
Sedu:
24 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of 3814 total reviews.
That speaks for itself!
If your hair starts to get damaged, turn down the tempature.
Take a look at this.

Note how CHI is number 7.
Note how GHD is number 4.
Sedu is the top flat iron and there is proof!
Or if you want something a little cheaper but also is still better than the CHI, get a Solia, it is second in line to the Sedu.Hair straightener?
theres one called a chi, if you get them on ebay they come brand new and only fifty dollars as opposed to the regular price of two-hundred dollars. i suggest getting one of these because ive had mine for a year and it stills works great, and most straighteners from stores cost thirty dollars anyways and last only a few months. the chi is probably a little more money than you want to spend but it is worth it
ummm.. i'm not sure if you can really find any cheap GOOD straighteners anywhere lol .. go to a hair salon to get the best one! i have a 'ceramix' %26amp; it works REALLY GOOD! %26amp; it's not that expensive either .. maybe try a ';CHI'; or ';Babybliss'; one but there more expensive ... but if your willing to pay $100 or more for a straightener it's WELL WORTH IT ! IT also depends on your hair type to decide what straightener like if you have course thick hair you would probably want a really good quality straightener like ';CHI'; so yeah it depends .. =) =P but if you really want a cheap one go to your local drug store %26amp; get like a 'revlon' straightener but the results will never be as good as professional straighteners like a ';CHI' or ';ceramix'; or ';babybliss';. but GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIND A STRAIGHTENER! =)
I have a Conair hair straightener, with instant heat. Its awesome, does a great job and in no time at all!
I got mine in a bundle around Christmas time, it included the straightener itself, as well as a hair curler and styling brush. It only cost me $40.00, so I say thats a pretty good deal!
Straighteners will last a long time if you mannage them properly, and treat them with care. Also, I thought Id put in a little tip, while you are straightening your hair, go straight out, not down. Its quicker and gets the job done much easier.
Hope I helped! Good luck!
You can use a home perm, instead of rolling hair and applying solution, apply solution and comb hair straight, leave in same amount of time as if you are perming hair. follow instructions on neutralizer and finish according to instructions. then apply conditioner. you shouldn't wash for at least 48hrs after doing this. it's cheap and works great.
i have a conair it works great and even has a heat setter that has numbers on it so you can find your perfect degrees so it won't burn your hair =] You can find one on ebay for $20 and one for $14! here they are:($20)-http://cgi.ebay.com/Conair-Instant-Heat-/a>
($14)-http://cgi.ebay.com/Conair-CS19JCS-Insta/a>
You can find some cheap ones at walmart and they work well. In order to not burn your hair with either an expensive one or cheap I would recommend using a silk therapy that you put on before and after you blow dry. This will help to protect your hair from the heat. Some that I use is CHI brand or BioSilk. A little goes a long way!
I have a Remington Wet2Straight that I got at Walgreens for about $20. I've been using it for a couple years and I love it. This is AFTER dropping over $100 on a fancy one that lasted all of 3 months (and I don't have particularly tough hair, nor did I even use it at the highest setting).
a good straighter is not cheap i bought the true ceramic pro off of TV and paid 134.00, but i went to a hair store a bought a wider iron for 55.00 they both do a slammin' job but my wider has better coverage. It name is Ceramic RED Professional, Their blow dryer is good also.
the MAXI GLIDE. it's at bed bath and beyond? i forget. i've had it for mabye two years and it's still going strong. it was like fifty dollars. it was on an infomercial in hawaii.
DO NOT by the chi straightener. it dries out your hair. i feel bad a wasted so much money on it.
There is one that is a wet to dry one I think it's by conair though thats the one I use and it works fine.Though the really expensive ones work better and don't break as easy I would invest in one of those.
FHI 's are good! their about 拢60 and widely available.
my salon uses them, and i have them, they are really good, of course any heat styling will damage hair but these are really gentle and glide through hair- even mine which is fine and curly!
WELL ITS NOT CHEAP,
but its the best and the safest
runs about 100, might be able to find one cheaper on ebay
CHI iron

CHI straightners, they sometimes usually go on sale, and thay are the best striahgtner out there! Trust me! Cheapest is kinda hard, most cheap striaghtners burn hair easily sorry. Try ur hardest to get ur hands on a CHI its the best!!!
Sally Beauty Supply has one by jilbere de Paris...it cost $40 and it's awsome. Any hair straightener will burn your hair, you just have to get a spray to prevent that.

i have the remmington wet2straight but im not sure where i got it. a really good one but a bit expensive is bed head.and there alsays at pro. hair salons.
There's a Revlon one at Target I got for $40 or something like that. I straighten my hair every day and it hasn't burned. Make sure to buy heat-protections spray before you use it though.
theres this really good product called gold n hot. u have to make sure u get the ceramic one and not turn the heat up so high. it works like a charm! u can find them at ur local beauty supply stores for no more than 30 dollars
DO NOT get conair.
They're really cheap (not price wise) and they aren't even really good.
Titanium Tools has a good straightner
I don't know how cheap your going.
but I have a chi straightener and its the cheapest one I own and it was about 100 dollars.
