Aluminum foil on Hair Straightener?

Hi. My hair is extremely thin. It's naturally straight, but I straighten over it everyday to make it look better. My hair has so many split ends, and is thinning out even more now.

My question is, if I wrap a piece of ALUMINUM FOIL on each straightening plate, will it protect my hair but STILL straighten it?

Thanks :)Aluminum foil on Hair Straightener?
That is not going to help protect your hair. You need a protective styling product with oil so as you straighten your hair, this oil evaporates %26amp; not the natural oil in your hair.

Are you using the straightener to add more shine? If so, try using finishing gloss to help it shine.

There are lots of heat protection products to try. Rusk has a whole line that helps %26amp; protects called STR8.

Since your hair is damaged, you need to help to re moisturize %26amp; strengthen it. The best you can get to help this is Joico's K-Pak. It is awesome %26amp; really helps a lot!

the heat is what straightens your hair and also damages it. So if you decrease the heat then it will not be as straight but also not as damaged. If it is naturally straight then you shouldn't need to straighten it, just blow drying it should make it look fine. If you still insist on straightening your hair try using some protective hair serum before you straighten it.
No your problem is too much heat everyday damages your hair it makes your hair brittle and causes your split ends you need a conditioning straightner. Only use the iron twice a week mostly for occastions
Just buy some spray to use before you straighten to protect it, I use tressame heat spray...its not expensive, and it helps me so much.
You should probably set your heat to a lower temperature because the heat is drying out your hair.
your hair might still get straight, but it won't protect your hair.
