Japanese hair straightener + color?

will it be okay for me to color my hair after a week of getting my hair straightened (specifically the japanese hair straightener) ? others say it may badly damage your hair and ruin a straight hair, while others say that it wont ruin a straight hair at all. please help. thanks!Japanese hair straightener + color?
you already have chemicals in your hair.. it is hard to stragihted color treated hair.. but i am not sure if it is otherway around.. I am sure you can dye your hair 'coz i have seen people dye their grey hair even after getting japanese permanant straightening done :)... but when you talk about damage... chemicals are never minerals/food to hair.. if you need style you have to mess up with chemicals :)
