xHair straightener??
Although many people will tell you that Chi are great, they are really no different than many other ceramic brands. As a stylist I will recommend the conair line to my clients since most are on a budget. I have used the same one myself for 3 years now and have had no problems with it. You are paying for the name when you only look at the label.
I also have really thick hair and I found the the hair straightener from Conair below works. It makes my hair pin straight. I also use products on my hair so it doesn't get damaged. I used Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine smoothing milk creme and anti frizz serum. I also use TREsemme Thermal Creations heat tamer spray. Hope you find a good hair straightener. =]
I have a Chi and it works great. I have thick hair also, and it works good on it, and makes it very shiny and smooth.
It may be expensive but it is well worth it.
You can also curl, flip, and style your hair with it, aside from the obvious of straightening it.
Also make sure you use a heat-protecting spray so you don't damage and fry your hair. I use Dove Advanced Care Intense Damage Therapy Heat Shield Styling Spray.
save up and spend your money on a good straightener. or ask for it as one gift for a big occasion or something. i have the 1'' chi turbo, but if your hair is really thick or long or whatever they sell a 2'' one as well. it's well worth it and after using mine like a bunch of my friends have gone out and bought the same one, plus its pretty cool because you can curl your hair with it (search youtube for how to videos!!) i always thought my cheap ones worked fine, but now that i realized i've gone through 5 straighteners, each between 20 and 40$, that adds up to more than my chi. plus once you use a good one, you'll realize how the cheapy ones pull and rip little hairs out lol soo yea got a good one! :)
babyliss 230
or good old GHDs
chi!!! those are amazing.. of cource they also cost $120 dollars!!! if you dont want to spend that much then go to sally beauty supply (idk where you live but im sure you have them where you live if you live in the US) anyhow they have one there thats like the chi thats about $80 bucks and they have one thats good to thats about $60 its called jiberre or something like that!! those 3 are good!! but the chi is the best! oh and make sure you get a ceramic one!! :)
the CHI! It is a miracle worker. But make sure you also use a protective balm because eventhough it is ceramic and does less damage than other straighteners, it still can harm your hair follicles, especially if you use it on a daily basis.
chi
heats up in less than a minute... takes me like 5-10 mins to straighten my thick hair.
i got mine off e-bay for cheaper than you would normally find them in a salon for.. if you do this just make sure it's not a fake!
if u wanna go cheap then get like a wet 2 straight they are like 25 dollars at wal*mart
but if u want to be ensured u get a super good one get a paul mitchell or a chi........they cost anywhere from 90-300 dollars tho........Good Luck!
ghd or chi
I have insane curly think hair, and I use a babybliss straightener,it works so well! it's expensive, but worth it.
