Hi there. =)
I have very fine blonde hair and a lot of it. Usually it's this very odd combination of straight and wavy at the same time (kinda hard to explain).
What are the effects of long-term use of a hair straightener with fine, thick hair?
What should I use to stop any damage that may result?
Are such products worth it in the long run?
How do I keep the burnt hair smell at bay?
I've obviously never straightened my hair. =pEffects of a Hair Straightener?
if your goin to straighten ur hair use heat protetor and you shouldnt get a burnt smell, and its best to blow dry your hair striaght but hair straighters will be alrightEffects of a Hair Straightener?
You can get split-ends...
and if you dye and straighten your hair you could make it really dry or fry it.
Thats all I've heard. But I use a straightener everyday....and I'm aight.
Theres hair serums at walmart i use to keep my hair smelling good instead of gross burnt hair-like.
if you have fine hair you need to turn the temp down on your flat iron. make sure you get a flat iron that has temp control. use a heat protector. as far as the burnt smell, you shouldn't have that problem which leads me to think its too hot, it should be hot enough to straighten but not hot enough to make your hair smell burnt (from actually burning your hair). hope this helps.
Hey there,
I have very thick curly hair and me straightening it hs done nothing to hurt it, but just keep getting a trim every month or so a \nd you'll be fine
Do not use straighteners at all! No none! At last straightening is going out of style, why do you not lead the new trend for natural hair? It will save you time, improve your hair condition and save you money!
I am serious, hair is made of protein which cooks slightly everytime you over heat it! Oh you do not think that straighteners overheat, would you put anything as hot as that on your face?
