I live in a place where there is alot of humidity. My hair is naturally poofy and curly. What kind of staightener should I get and tell me about it please? Some of my friends told me about CHI, Solia, and Sedu. Do you think they would work on my hair and keep it straight?Hair Straightener? Help?
sedu. since i got mine ive no longer had to worry about humidity or what will happen if my hair gets a little wet from the rain. Hair Straightener? Help?
hi i live in hawaii so yes theres a lot of humidity too! i use CHI and it definately is worth the price! from the abc store i bought a heat resistant gel [couple of bucks] and put that on before i staragighten my hair sometimes. trust me it works perfectly on my hair [also poofy and curly] so yeah CHI is greatt iono how to say it in words but it is awsome. :]
Hey i would use chi or bed head straightener at marshels they have them there for like 30 to 80 thats pretty good. Also after you straighten get some tigi hair glaze and put it on and it will stay in place, I have curly hair too and that is what i use I like the bed head cuase it is cheaper and it looks cute.
CHI is the best hair straightener on the market today. It's a professional hair straightener, so it's a bit expensive. Mine cost me 125 dollars. But it's worth it.
Trust me, CHI is the best. My mother is a licensed cosmetologist, so I would know.
It could definitely straighten your hair. It works for every hair texture.
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd and Chameleon. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap drugstore brands that tend to cause hair damages. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.
=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======
Q: What size should I choose?
A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).
Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?
A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

I tried the Neo Nano Keratin and I think its really good. I also naturally have curly hair, live in a humid environment and have extremly oily hair. Just make sure that you look good in stright hair before taking the step of permenantly starightening it:)))
good luck
I have a solia and it works FANTASTIC! There is a lot of humidity where I live and it works great. I would also suggest dangerously strait by Herbal Essence. Hope I helped (:
ps- I hear CHI's work good too!
if its humid you need more than a straightener, i suggest getting some kind of product that is anti moisture.
