There's alot. Usually, if you look around, the ones that are the most expensive, (particularily 200 dollars) are the best ones, the ones that work the fastest and cause less damage. However, this technique, (of finding the most expensive) isnt foolproof, because alot of brands can rip you off. (Its better then finding a cheap one though, because alot of brands that are REALLY cheap SUCK, take a long time to use, and dont heat up as fast. AND they damage hair brutally.)
The best brands that I have heard of are:
The chi flat irons. You can search it up on google, i've heard its great. They heat up really fast, they cause hardly any damage and they finish hair in about 10 minutes. They cost around 150 $ , but considering they work fantastic, it is a good price.
Conair is also a good one. It's affordable, around 40-50 dollars, and they work great.
I have the CORTEX, (the pink one) it works great! It heats up REALLYfast and it takes off oil in your hair. It leaves the good stuff in hair so that your hair is smooth and gentle, causing no damage at all. It straightens up my hair in less then 10 minutes :) It costs around 200 dollars though, but I think it was worth it.
Look around, there are alot of salons who have great flat irons and straighteners. If you're going to buy one, I reccomend buying them from professional salons, where they cut and style hair, because they have the best ones that will actually work, (since they use them themselves.) Also, you can get a good price and a fabulous iron. Try to avoid buying them from retail stores, or Walmart or etc unless you KNOW its a good iron, because they just sell cheap ones that just make profit, not results.
Good luck in finding a good iron! :)Best hair straightener?
Wow! My hair sounds exactly like yours (except a little longer)!
Well, today I just got my Solia Tourmaline 1 1/4 Flat Iron. I ordered it from Folica.com for $88 (and it has free shipping).
I didn't know it was comming so I just let my hair dry naturally.
When it got here i just had to try it so i did.
I used Tresseme Heat Protectant and Bed Head Control Freak Serum and it straightened it in 30 min.( and that was with a new flat iron and curly frizzy hair)
