What's a better hair straightener?

For Christmas, I'm gonna put either a ghd, or CHI for one of the items on my list.


Anyone know which is better? I need a one inch to get close to the scalp.

The first thing you need to look at is if they're both solid ceramic plates, not just coded, which I know the CHI is. If it has tourmaline gemstone coding which a lot of irons do that is a definite plus. You need to look at how hot they both heat up 450 is the hottest any straightener will go. GHD sometimes makes a generic cheaper version of the CHI and they are exactly the same straightener. What's a better hair straightener?

GHD from what i gather is the best! CHI are a little cheaper and comparable.. but for quality the GHD is best!
