Hair straightener?

i just go a brand new hair striaghtener for my birthday and as soon as i turn it on it smells like crap and i know its not my hair because if i turn it on with out touching it smell not like burning but somthin else


os there anyway to get rid of the smell without spraying like air freshener?Hair straightener?

It causes a burnt smell if you try to do your hair when it is very wet...wait for a few minutes, or semi-towel dry your hair first for a great result and no burning smellHair straightener?
The straightners are probably broken or you have spilt something on them. If you havent then gently wash the bit where your hair goes with a ball of cotton wool and some water and see if it smells bad again. Theres also a sealy thing and if you dont take that off it smells of plastic.
The only true way to get rid of the smell is to get rid of the straightener. Just tell the person who bought it for you that it smells and you appreciate the fact that they bought it for you but you just can't use it.
that happens with most of the straighteners. the first couple uses they smell really bad. it will go away after maybe 7 uses. or if you are a frequent straightner, after a day.
the straightners are coated with this seal that protects it, unfortunatley for now that smell will stay until the coating strips away.
