Help!.....my hair straightener won't work!!?

2 of my flat irons won't work all of a sudden. The light lights up and stuff, but it doesn't heat up. I've reset my outlets, used other outlets, turned on the ';on'; switch...everything...did my straighteners blow a fuse or what...........???Help!.....my hair straightener won't work!!?
All these new straighteners are heated so terribly hot in order to produce results they often have a meltdown when they are not even very old. My brother-in-law is a hairdresser and says you should never pay big money for these because you have to replace all of them so much, sorry, yours did the same as many of mine and now you'll have to get a new one, they don't last very long even if you don't use them lots.Help!.....my hair straightener won't work!!?
Mine does this at least once a year and I generally end up buying a new one. Occasionally there is a little trick that works though...





Plug your straightener in and turn it on. Then take a hair tie that is big enough to fit arround the two arms of the straightener and close the arms together tight. The straightener will heat up in the normal amount of time if it actually works. If it doesn't then its not just a bad connection, it is fried on the inside.

I sell fhi which is solid ceramic also ionizer(for hard to straighten hair,it will never frizz. I am half black and i have really curly hair and i think this iron is a miracle. I have been using my iron for 4 years and its still working perfect/ It heats up tp 450 degees can go as low as 110.It heats up on 3 minutes.
