I have wavy hair, would like to buy a hair straightener. Could u pls suggest me some good brands? Also let me know how to use them, I mean on wet or dry hair and should i use any particular haircare product along with it? Will my hair get damaged, if i use it regularly?Hair straightener....?
GHD is the top of the line in hair straighters....but they're very expensive....about $300 AUD....they can also create cool waves and curls. An good quality straightener can be found in almost any brand....never spend under $50 for a good one. Even then you are probably better off spending a bit more...maybe ask your local store and see what they have...weigh the pros and cons of each one you see. Always use a thermal hair protector before straightening and the best hair to use it on is dry....it gives a sleeker look and it takes less time to straighten. To create less frizz and static put on a smoothing serum AFTER straightening...never before. And NEVER use pantene shampoo and conditioner....it contains silicone and silicone will melt to your hair under high temperatures. Try a shampoo and conditioner for straight hair...this will enhance the straightening process.
Good luck!
Try looking at the page listed below to check out the top of the line!

Hi im a hairdresser and the best two makes of straightners that i have found to be the best over the years.
If your looking to spend a few pennys ghd are the best
If you looking to look for a lower price set of straightners then remmington are the ones for you.
You use them on dry hair.
Best product to use with them is either a product specially designed to be used with straighters or shine spray. which coats the hair and protects hair from the heat.
make sure you run a comb through your hair when your straighting hair. works better leaving straighter smoother hair.
good luck :D x
Yes it damages hair, I know girls who have short hair after about a year of straigtening! I know there are good products so please check them out before you start. Plus my daughter will straigten her hair and take a break wearing it up in a messy bun or pony tail. Don't do it everyday! So wear it up, Natural oils are the best. Good Luck!
You should try blow-drying your hair. The straighteners can damage your hair. Cobella has good hair hair products.
none of us are EVER happy with what GOD gives us....
If we have bone straight hair, we want to curl it, if its curly , we want it bone straight! :)
whats up with that!!??
If we are black, we say white, if he says blue, she says red
If he says comb, she says brush
you want it wet, they say dry
Who can ever WIN?? haha
Do what you want , but tell you what, eventually, you will come back to YOUR natural hair..I promise, ! and you will learn how beautiful it is! :)
i can just sujjest neo
i use it regularly on wet hair
and it does not damage my hair
so u can also try it
Hi, I am a hairstylist. What you are looking for is a 1 to 1 1/2 inch flat iron. Andis and Revlon are very good brands for them and they are both sold at Walmart. Only use them on dry hair. Make sure you use conditioner after you shampoo and make sure you use a heat protector before you use your straightener. As long as you keep your hair conditioned and don't cook it with your new appliance, you won't damage your hair. Hope this helped!

For straightening hair at home, you can use a hair iron and a straightening shampoo will also help. If you wish to straighten for a longer time, you can undergo Japanese hair straightening. I found this website useful - http://hcr.in/straighten.html
