The best flat iron for your hair type would be either the Sedu or the Solia, both of them should keep your hair straight all day if used correctly.
The Sedu 1 inch is $94.95 on Folica.com:

Good Luck!Best hair straightener for my hair?
Unfortunately, they are expensive, yet if you buy a good quality product, and follow basic care maintenance (regular cleaning, not damaging the power cord by wrapping it around) it will last a long time.
Metropolis and Silver Bullet are good. But GHD is in a class of its own. They are brilliant straightners, very hot very fast, can sleek and straighten, as well as the best flicks or curls you could ever imagine.
You should also always use a good quality heat protectant. This can be in a spray or a serum form. This gives your hair a bit of extra strength, minimising damage from blwodrying or straightening. Cristalli is a great serum. It can be applied before heat treatments (but may leave resudue on straightner) and afterwards to minimise frizz, keeping your hair pretty and straight for an extra day or two.
sedu or ghd
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore.
You might want to invest in a nice straightener. You should spend more than 60 dollars to get a quality product. Try the Chi ceramic straightener or any ceramic straightener. The ceramic straighteners won't damage your hair, and won't make it frizzy. The Chi ones cost 100+ bucks, so it is a kind of expensive straightener, but I love mine!
